Alana Kerr

Image
Alana Kerr is a Northern-Irish puppeteer, actress, and mezzo soprano who performs Claribelle and the Weatherberries on the Northern Ireland co-production of Sesame Street, Sesame Tree. She said that she had no training as a puppeteer before the series. Alana had to chance to work alongside Irish puppeteers like Paul Currie, Lesa Gillespie, and Helen Sloan, to name a few. Too bad Kerr didn't have any puppetry experience before the show was filmed. It's also too bad she didn't puppeteer on any other shows after Sesame Tree, except for an episode of Big City Park. Other shows she did include Emu, Rachel 9000, Aussie Go Round, and more. I read that Alana Kerr was a member of both National Youth Theatre of Great Britain and National Youth Music Theatre of Great Britain. I have also read that she's the Founder of the Belfast Actors' Studio, making her another puppeteer to have their own theatre studio. Personally, I think she should have assisted on Muppets Most Wanted or

Rowell Gormon

Image
Rowell Gormon is a voice actor and puppeteer who has served as a background puppeteer for two Muppet productions, Muppets from Space and The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland. I don't know why he only worked in one Muppet film and one Sesame Street film. Gormon probably lives in North Carolina and the Muppet performers only worked there twice. At least Rowell got to work alongside many famous Muppet performers such as David Rudman, Caroll Spinney, and John Kennedy, to name a couple. I've read that he was once the puppeteer/co-host of a daily TV kid show called Time for Uncle Paul, the only show outside of the Muppets and Sesame Street that he puppeteered on. He mainly worked in commercial and industrial voice-overs. Gormon's voice can also be heard in video games such as Fallen Earth and Torchlight II. He's like Lisa Sturz in one way, both of them are from North Carolina and have worked with the Muppets once and Sesame Street once. It's a shame that Rowell doesn'

Josh Elwell

Image
Josh Elwell is a British puppeteer, actor, and director who performed in a Muppet film, as well as many Henson Company projects over the years. He was an uncredited additional UK performer for Muppets Most Wanted and performed on Pajanimals, That Puppet Game Show, and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. Josh started acting on Letty at age 13 before getting puppetry lessons from Nigel Plaskitt, glove puppeteer Martin Bridle, and a man named Nutza Dolakidze. I read that Elwell also served as an associate director for Forest Forge Theatre Company. Outside of the Henson Company, he puppeteered on ZingZillas, Big City Park, and Strange Hill High, to name a few. I wish he would be considered a Muppet performer since Pajanimals was a Henson Company show, even though it was non-Muppet, it still counts. Personally, I think Josh Elwell should have puppeteered on The Furchester Hotel because Pajanimals was a kid show too. I read he also ran his own Arts Council funded puppet company called Wild

Paul Currie

Image
Paul Currie is a Northern-Irish puppeteer, puppet maker, circus/street performer, and stand up comedian who performed Potto on Sesame Tree. He also performed on the Henson Company series Pajanimals, as an assistant puppeteer and performed many recurring roles. Paul even assisted and played hotel guests on The Furchester Hotel, another international co-production of Sesame Street. Currie initially had no idea of this Northern Irish Sesame show until he encountered Lisa Henson at a festival and I guess that is how he got called. Along with the other Sesame Tree performers, he trained with Martin P. Robinson in the audition workshop for preparation. Outside of Sesame Tree and Pajanimals, he designs, builds, & performs puppets around Ireland, for many festivals and theatre shows. Lately, he designed and built a puppet named DJ Scrunter for the BBC Northern Ireland show called Teethgrinder. Paul Currie should have worked in the Creature Shop since he both designed and built puppets on m

Claire Roi Harvey

Image
Claire Roi Harvey is a puppeteer and performer whose only Henson Company show she ever worked on was The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. I don't know why she hasn't performed in other Henson projects or even assisted the Muppets for Muppets Most Wanted. Clare has been a puppeteer for film, TV, theatre, and commercials. Outside of The Dark Crystal, she has worked on various other projects such as Feeling Better, three Star Wars films, and Doctor Who, to name a couple. She must have been pretty lucky to work with many creature/puppeteer teams bringing incredible characters to life. Harvey at least had a chance to perform with many Muppet puppeteers such as Damian Farrell, Brian Herring, Dave Chapman and many more. Claire is probably a pretty busy woman to perform in many productions either on-screen or on-stage that feature puppetry. She seems to be like most Muppet performers, and that's performing well with both children and adults for television and film. Harvey also does

Mallory Lewis

Image
Mallory Lewis is a ventriloquist, puppeteer, writer, producer, and the daughter of Shari Lewis. She is most well known for taking over the role of Lamb Chop after her mother died in 1998. In 2003, Mallory appeared in the Pittsburgh Puppet Conference featuring Grover and Fozzie Bear. Lewis must have been lucky to work with Eric Jacobson who is a Muppet performer. She has also produced for her mother on Lamb Chop's Play-Along and The Charlie Horse Music Pizza, which got awards. Apart from playing Lamb Chop, she is also a writer of children's books, some that star a baby orangutan character named Zoey, who she also puppeteers. I just wish Mallory Lewis would guest star on Sesame Street like her mother, since she met Grover at the 2003 Puppet Conference. I read that she performs extensively for military support organizations, state fairs around the country, and performing arts centers. I wonder if she felt weird being the producer for her mom when she was still alive because it'

Shari Lewis

Image
Shari Lewis was a ventriloquist, actress, and puppeteer who was considered a pioneer of children's puppetry, according to the Wiki. She is best known for performing her three famous characters, Lamb Chop, Charlie Horse, and Hush Puppy for many years. Shari hasn't really worked with the Muppets but she guest starred on an episode of Sesame Street with Lamb Chop. Lewis at least got to be with Caroll Spinney and Louise Gold for that appearance. She starred in three of her most famous shows, The Shari Lewis Show, Lamb Chop's Play-Along, and The Charlie Horse Music Pizza. Two out of the three shows featured Fraggle Rock performers Gordon Robertson, Lee Armstrong, and Nikki Tilroe, in addition to one-time Muppet puppeteer Pat Brymer. I read that when Jim Henson died in 1990, Shari Lewis was interviewed by USA Today, and said "He raised puppeteering to an art form beyond people who just jiggle dolls." She and Lamb Chop were also featured in a celebrity "Alphabet Son

Jack Vogel

Image
Jack Vogel is a Muppet puppeteer and the son of Matt Vogel who has assisted his father several times since 2020. He was a credited puppeteer for The Disney Family Singalong: Volume II, assisting Kermit the Frog on banjo. Jack also received special thanks credit for projects, Elmo's Playdate and Muppets Now, both taped from the homes of the performers that same year. Vogel should be like Brian Henson, they both follow in their father's footsteps as puppeteers. Over the years, he served as either a right hand or assistant to his dad for a lot of live appearances, though it's unknown what at the moment. I hope that he will continue working with his father on more appearances virtual or in person, depending on when he's needed. However Jack Vogel is probably still in school and needs to get his education done before he can continue assisting his dad. Unlike Cheryl Henson and Brian Henson, he was a kid when he first started assisting his father but he's probably growing

Ian Tregonning

Image
Ian Tregonning is a puppeteer who performed in numerous Muppet and Creature Shop movies. For his job with the Muppets, he has assisted in The Muppets Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island, as well as the 1993 Royal Variety Performance, operating one of the Bossman. As for Creature Shop, Ian has worked in Labyrinth, Babe, and The Adventures of Pinocchio. Tregonning seems to do a lot more puppetry inside the Muppets and Creature Shop than outside. His only outside puppetry was seen in Little Shop of Horrors by Frank Oz and Who Framed Roger Rabbit (featuring characters from Warner Bros and Disney). For television, his only work can be seen on three shows Spitting Image, Quads, and Radio Roo. Ian Tregonning must have been very lucky to perform with many puppeteers such as Bruce Lanoil, Mike Quinn, and William Todd-Jones, to name a few. I wish that he would puppeteer more on other projects rather than special effects or design. He provided special effects for Zombie Brigade, Minor Head

Steven Kynman

Image
Steven Kynman is a British actor, puppeteer, writer, and voice actor who was an additional performer for several UK-based Muppet/Henson projects. He assisted on Muppet Treasure Island and Muppets Most Wanted for his time with the Muppets and puppeteered on Construction Site, The Hoobs (also a writer), and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance for the Henson Company. I wonder why Steven didn't write for any other project by Henson. Outside of both the Muppets and Henson Company, Kynman has acted on Justin's House as Robert the Robot and puppeteered on many projects. As a voice actor, he did voices on Fireman Sam, Bob the Builder (UK), and Thomas the Tank Engine franchise (US and UK), to name a few. He has even been a creature/droid puppeteer in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, he must have been very lucky to work in that film. Steven Kynman also lucky to perform with several Muppet performers like Brian Herring, Mak Wilson, and Mark Jefferis, just to name a few. I just wish he wo

Nancy O'Meara

Image
Nancy O'Meara is a dancer and choreographer who only worked with the Muppets on an episode of Muppets Tonight as an additional performer. I'm not sure if she did puppeteer on Muppets Tonight since there is no photo of her puppeteering. Nancy is like Aurorah Allain as both women assisted in that same episode. O'Meara should try and do more work with the Muppets either as a choreographer for dance numbers or as a costumed character designed for dance. Outside of the Muppets, she has been a dancer for many productions such as Boys and Girls, Nikki, 13 Going on 30, and Clerks II, to name a few. As a choreographer, she has choreographed for many television productions like Hannah Montana, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, & Paula Abdul: My Love Is For Real, to name a few. Nancy O'Meara must be very popular with the singers since she's currently the choreographer and movement coach to a lot of Hollywood Records artists. She must have been very lucky to be chosen to w

Dina Fraboni

Image
Dina Fraboni is a puppeteer and producer who is another person that hasn't worked at all with Muppets or the Henson Company. Her only known production was creating, producing, and puppeteering on The Adventures of Timmy the Tooth, along with James Murray and Kevin Carlson. Dina is once again one of the many puppeteers who should work with the Muppets since Timmy the Tooth featured numerous Muppet performers like Bruce Lanoil, Allan Trautman, and Christine Papalexis, to name a few. Fraboni doesn't have to work with the Muppets if she doesn't want to. I'm just saying that she would make yet another great Muppet performer and if not then she can be a producer for future Muppet stuff. Or she could have done it when she had the chance like on The Muppets (2015). I read that Dina Fraboni had also puppeteered in an episode of ABC Weekend Specials with the same puppeteers who worked on Timmy the Tooth. To be honest, I wished she would have been a puppeteer or producer on televi

Carol Binion

Image
Carol Binion is a puppeteer, costumer, and sister of puppeteer Alice Dinnean. She worked as a puppet costumer on several productions like four seasons of Sesame Street (including Elmo's World), Bear in the Big Blue House, and The Muppets (2015). Carol had also puppeteered on Forgetting Sarah Marshall which featured numerous Muppet performers like Julianne Buescher, Leslie Carrara-Rudolph, and BJ Guyer, to name a few. As for Muppet film work, Binion did Muppets from Space and The Muppets (2011), both in the workshop. She should do more puppeteer work for both the Muppets and Sesame Street since Ronald Binion did it one time. Outside of the Muppet Workshop, she puppeteered on It's a Big Big World, Crank Yankers (also costume designer), The Book of Pooh, and Jack's Big Music Show, to name a few. Carol Binion has also worked on the mascot costumes for a Netflix comedy film called Mascots (2016), which must be forgotten by now. I wonder if she and Ronald Binion are related since

Ronald Binion

Image
Ronald Binion is a puppeteer and puppet designer/builder who has designed and built characters for many Muppet and Henson projects. He made puppets for Muppets Tonight, The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, The Animal Show, and Bear in the Big Blue House. Ronald was also an additional puppeteer in new material for a Sesame Street home video called Zoe's Dance Moves. Binion even worked in the Sesame Street film, The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland. Too bad he didn't puppeteer in any other Muppet project. Outside of the Muppet Workshop, he has both designed, built, and performed puppets for many projects like LazyTown (as Pixel and a puppet producer), The Book of Pooh, Crank Yankers, Ghostbusters (2016), and many more. Ronald Binion is such an expert when it comes to creating and performing puppet characters. LazyTown must have been his best known show for he worked alongside Aymee Garcia, Jodi Eichelberger, and Julie Westwood, to name a few. Recently, he puppeteered in the Ghostbus

Mark Mander

Image
Mark Mander is a British puppeteer and costume designer who was an additional performer on Muppets Most Wanted. He was previously an additional puppeteer on Mopatop's Shop (Season 2) and was later one of the additional performers on The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. How come Mark didn't work on any other Muppet or Henson projects filmed in the UK? Mander was probably too busy with other projects to film anything involving the Muppets. Outside of Muppets and Henson, he has puppeteered on The Roly Mo Show, hippo George (from Rainbow) for many television appearances, Favoritism, and a video short featuring various BBC Children characters called Peter Kay's Animated All Star Band, to name a few. As a costume designer, he made costumes for both Beauty and the Beast (2014) and for a Norwich puppet diva called Clementine. Mark Mander must have some difficulty creating costumes for such a small puppet. It's a pity he never designed costumes for the Muppets nor the Henson Com

Nick Kellington

Image
Nick Kellington is a British actor, puppeteer, suit performer, and musician who did SkekMal's body movements in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. He was also an uncredited additional puppeteer in Muppets Most Wanted. I don't know why Nick didn't receive credit for performing with the Muppets for that one feature film and did on The Dark Crystal. Outside of the Muppets and Henson, Kellington has performed on the reboot of Teletubbies (as Dipsy), In the Night Garden (as Igglepiggle), ZingZillas (as Tang), and Strange Hill High, to name a few. He has also performed within the latest Star Wars films including Rogue One, Solo, and The Rise of Skywalker as both suit performer and puppeteer for many creatures and droids. In addition to puppetry and acting, he's also musician in a rock band called Ella Guru, where he played cornet and ukulele. Nick Kellington is probably one of the only puppeteers to perform in a rock band. Not to mention another puppeteer to also be a music

Weston Chandler Long

Image
Weston Chandler Long is a New York based puppeteer, actor, and singer who began being a Muppet performer on Sesame Street during its 48th season. He later worked with Sesame Street as part of the pre-taped musical number in the 2019 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I wonder if Weston is still an additional Muppet performer on Sesame Street now. In 2016, Long was an additional performer for the Muppets in their opening number for the 2016 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (doing the puppetry for Sweetums). It makes me wish that he would work with both the Muppets and Sesame Street more often. Outside of Sesame Street, his other puppetry work include the national tour of ImaginOcean by John Tartaglia, the Off-Broadway productions of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and All Hallow's Eve (Martin P. Robinson directed it), and a regional production of Avenue Q, to name a few. I've read that when Weston Chandler Long was only five, he was personally mentored in puppetry by Sesame Stree

Victoria Jane

Image
Victoria Jane is a British actress, puppeteer, suit performer, musician, and dancer who is another person that hasn't worked with the Muppets at all. However she has been the suit performer of Grover for the Sesame Street Live tour known as Elmo Makes Music from 2014-2015. Most of Victoria's other work are outside of that one year tour. Jane has been a children's presenter for many shows such as BBC's Comedy Classroom, Dr. Didi, Let's Get Active, Madagascar Live, and more. She also alternates with Olly Taylor in operating Noo Noo on the reboot of Teletubbies (her only known puppetry). She's even acted in many theatre shows across the UK such as The Wizard of Oz, Around the World in 80 Days, and Cinderella, just to name a few. Personally, I think that Victoria Jane should try and perform in a project either by the Muppets or the Henson Company, or even Sesame Workshop. She should've been an additional puppeteer on their projects like The Furchester Hotel, Mup

Ali J. Eisner

Image
Ali J. Eisner is a Canadian puppeteer, musician, and filmmaker who has performed for kids for nearly two decades. They performed on Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock as Turbo Doozer, Balsam, and many others (including the puppetry for Jack Hammer). Ali also assisted and doubled for Karen Prell as Red Fraggle. Eisner is one of the first puppeteers to be transgender/non-binary and use they/them pronouns, the second one being Kira Hall. Outside of Back to the Rock, they puppeteered on Nanalan', The Let's Go Show (as Banjo), Kids Canada (as Mamma Yamma and score composer), and Mr. Meaty, to name a few. On the IMDb website, their bio states that they are destined to shine a light on the LGBTQ2S+ community through their broadcast work, whatever that means. Ali J. Eisner performed alongside many Canadian puppeteers such as Jason Hopley, Jamie Shannon, Marty Stelnick, Ingrid Hansen, & Todd Doldersum, to name a few. They must have been excited when they were selected to do Fraggle Rock

Fiona Gentle

Image
Fiona Gentle is an Australian puppeteer, writer, director, and choreographer who has puppeteered on Farscape from Seasons 2-4. She served as part of the team on Pilot, Rygel, and episodic creatures with many puppeteers like Mat McCoy, Graeme Haddon, and Sean Masterson. Fiona also puppeteered on the Australian Sesame Street interstitial series Play Along with Ollie and later Me and My Monsters. I read Gentle has started puppeteering and performing in 1995 and has done that for film, television, and theater since. Outside of Farscape, she has served as assistant animatronic performer for the film Babe: Pig in the City, her only known film. Other than Babe, she has her own company, Mirror Productions Pty Ltd, that has produced theater and music productions. Fiona Gentle is another puppeteer to have her own company like Jim Henson with the Henson Company or Sally Preisig with Mimic Productions. On IMDb, it states she has consulted on many puppetry and movement film projects, not to mention
