Weston Chandler Long
Weston Chandler Long is a New York based puppeteer, actor, and singer who began being a Muppet performer on Sesame Street during its 48th season. He later worked with Sesame Street as part of the pre-taped musical number in the 2019 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I wonder if Weston is still an additional Muppet performer on Sesame Street now. In 2016, Long was an additional performer for the Muppets in their opening number for the 2016 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (doing the puppetry for Sweetums). It makes me wish that he would work with both the Muppets and Sesame Street more often. Outside of Sesame Street, his other puppetry work include the national tour of ImaginOcean by John Tartaglia, the Off-Broadway productions of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and All Hallow's Eve (Martin P. Robinson directed it), and a regional production of Avenue Q, to name a few. I've read that when Weston Chandler Long was only five, he was personally mentored in puppetry by Sesame Street legend, the late Caroll Spinney. I guess it was Caroll that got him inspired to do Sesame Street. He has also performed in many theater shows, theme parks, and even workshops. I'll bet Weston loved working with John Tartaglia on ImaginOcean and in Reusable the Musical. Long has got to continue working on Sesame Street, once he's through with whatever it is he's doing currently. And maybe he'll get a chance to be in another Sesame Street project very soon, or maybe be a Muppet Performer soon. If he's not too busy with what he's doing right now of course. Weston Chandler Long, so far you are doing a great job working with Sesame Street and the one musical number featuring the Muppets. I hope that you work on another Sesame Street project. Because there are so many more things that you can do with Sesame Street and the Muppets. I'm pretty sure you'll become another Muppet performer when the time is right Weston. Until then, keep dreaming and keep on doing whatever it is you're doing Long!
