Ted Michaels
Ted Michaels is a puppeteer and improv actor who has been a puppeteer for the Henson Company since 2006. His Henson Alternative projects include Puppet Up, The Simian Undercover Detective Squad (as Yeager), and No You Shut Up! Ted's only Muppet work was on The Muppets (2015) uncredited. Other than puppetry, Michaels is also an alum of the Groundlings Theater in Los Angeles. Some of his stage credits include One Word Improv, Boy From Mars, MADtv, According to Jim, and more, plus a lot of commercial appearances. His latest work with Henson Alternative was performing Ezra and a Sexist Thug and being core puppeteer in the film The Happytime Murders. I wonder why Ted Michaels hasn't performed in any other projects featuring the Muppets. He was probably busy working in a stage show with the Groundlings Theater. In addition to being a puppeteer and improv actor, he is also a writer who only wrote on two shows for its two channels, Mike Tyson Mysteries on Adult Swim and Bucket and Skinner's Epic Adventures on Nickelodeon. It's a shame those channels don't feature a lot of puppetry anymore because Ted could be one of the puppeteers. Personally I'd think that the Groundlings Theater should do a show involving puppetry, just like Puppet Up, so Michaels could do it. It's possible that the Muppets might do another series in the future, you never know. And maybe then, he'll receive credit for a supporting Muppet Performer, eventually getting a character. Ted Michaels, not only are you a terrific puppeteer but you are also an improv master. I hope you keep working with the Groundlings Theater and Henson Alternative. But I hope that someday you'll become a Muppet performer like Colleen Smith or Victor Yerrid. That's real funny business Ted! Keep giving adults a lot of humor Michaels!
