All About Muppets

Deep Roy is a Kenyan-born British actor, puppeteer, and stunt man who has served as one of the many dwarf performers to be additional puppeteers on The Dark Crystal. Other performers he worked with for that film include Sadie Corre, Mike Edmonds, Jack Purvis, and Kiran Shah. Deep is well known for acting in many science fiction and fantasy films similar to how Shah and Warwick Davis work. Roy's first film was in The Pink Panther Strikes Again where he played an assassin mistaken for a child due to his size. He has since gone on to do science fiction films like Star Wars, The Never Ending Story, Flash Gordon, and Return to Oz (opposite Brian Henson). His later film credits have included collaborations with director Tim Burton. Some of the Burton films Deep Roy did include Planet of the Apes (2001), The Corpse Bride, and most notably, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Reese Scott is a Canadian puppeteer and puppet builder who served as one of the additional puppeteers on Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. In addition, he also built some of the background characters used in the second season, which shows off both of his talents. Reese has often been paired with Brendan James Boyd for they both built and performed puppets on Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. Scott must have been excited to assist on the reboot since he got to meet legendary Muppet performers such as Karen Prell, Donna Kimball, and John Tartaglia. Outside, he is one of the co-founders of Puppet Stuff Canada (with Boyd and Meghan Schech) which does professional puppet builds and performances. Some of the projects he did include Fintastic Fun, Creatures of the Deep, Bird is the Word, and UnBEElievable. Margaret O'Flaherty is a British puppeteer who doesn't have a lot of information about herself anywhere online. She only did one Muppet film; Muppet Treasure Island, as an additional performer. Margaret also did only one project outside of the film which was The Slow Norris. At least O'Flaherty worked with lots of Muppet performers like Karen Prell, Mike Quinn, Helena Smee, and David Barclay. I only wish she would have done more Muppet films such as The Muppet Christmas Carol or even a Creature Shop film like The Witches. Apparently, she is another one of those puppeteers to be mysterious to the world, despite the amount of projects they do. Margaret O'Flaherty doesn't even have a photo of herself online for the one above probably isn't her, at least not to my knowledge. Charlotte Levinson is a Canadian puppeteer and ventriloquist who served as an additional performer on the Sesame Street film, Follow That Bird. I don't know why she hasn't performed on any other Muppet projects shot in Canada. Before Charlotte was a full-time puppeteer, she was a registered nurse in which puppetry was a hobby and a sideline. Levinson started her professional performances with her "Puppet Relations" characters in the 1970s, doing shows across Canadian schools. That shows that she works well with kids since she's performed for them to be both educated and entertained. She also puppeteered on the series of specials, Miss Peach of the Kelly School (with Daniel Seagren, Eren Ozker, Bob Stutt, Olga Felgemacher, and Dan Redican). Charlotte Levinson was last heard in a 1989 newspaper and no one has heard from her since, at least not to my knowledge. Brendan James Boyd is a Canadian puppeteer and puppet builder who performed in the ensemble on Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock since it began. He has also worked in Jim Henson's Creature Shop for the second season, helping to build various minor characters. In the ensemble, Brendan assisted and doubled for many characters when the performers are occupied with other ones. Outside of the show, Boyd is the co-creator and co-owner of Puppet Stuff Canada (with Reese Scott and Meghan Schech, the former also did the show). Together they provided professional puppets and performing services for TV, theater, film, and other venues. Some of the performances the company did include Creatures of the Deep, Bird is the Word, Fintastic Fun, and UnBEElievable. Brendan James Boyd must have felt really excited to join the world of Fraggle Rock when the reboot began filming.
