Carol Binion
Carol Binion is a puppeteer, costumer, and sister of puppeteer Alice Dinnean. She worked as a puppet costumer on several productions like four seasons of Sesame Street (including Elmo's World), Bear in the Big Blue House, and The Muppets (2015). Carol had also puppeteered on Forgetting Sarah Marshall which featured numerous Muppet performers like Julianne Buescher, Leslie Carrara-Rudolph, and BJ Guyer, to name a few. As for Muppet film work, Binion did Muppets from Space and The Muppets (2011), both in the workshop. She should do more puppeteer work for both the Muppets and Sesame Street since Ronald Binion did it one time. Outside of the Muppet Workshop, she puppeteered on It's a Big Big World, Crank Yankers (also costume designer), The Book of Pooh, and Jack's Big Music Show, to name a few. Carol Binion has also worked on the mascot costumes for a Netflix comedy film called Mascots (2016), which must be forgotten by now. I wonder if she and Ronald Binion are related since they both share the last name. If they are, I would like to see some proof that those two are together or related. Carol's life seems to be more costumer than puppeteer according to her life with puppets. It makes me wish that Binion would actually build puppets other than their costumes. Other puppeteers she worked with have included Todd Coyle, Amanda Maddock, Robin Walsh, Eric Engelhardt, and more. I read that she's also a classically trained singer and performs regularly in an Los Angeles choir, something many puppeteers do (sing not be in choir that is). Carol Binion, even though you didn't puppeteer with Sesame Street, you still did well in the Muppet Workshop over the years. Continue to build costumes for your other works. And maybe someday you'll decide to build puppets again with Sesame Street. Until then, keep up the great work Carol. You got this Binion!
