Nathan Danforth

Image
Nathan Danforth is a puppeteer who served as an additional puppeteer for two Muppet films and a Muppet holiday television special called Lady Gaga & the Muppets' Holiday Spectacular. As assistant for The Muppets film, he puppeteered Sweetums whenever Matt Vogel was doing another character, operated one of the Mutations and operated The Swedish Chef for a scene. Nathan has also performed a few characters in Neil's Puppet Dreams by Henson Alternative. I've read that before Danforth worked on The Muppets, he worked with Jason Segel on the 1000th episode of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, where they both sang and puppeteered a version of "Dracula's Lament" from Segel's film Forgetting Sarah Marshall. He then got a request to build a short puppet segment for How I Met Your Mother. His other outside work is seen on an Avenue Q National Tour Commercial and with Swazzle puppet company. I wish Nathan Danforth would perform in more works involving the Mu

Brian Clark

Image
Brian Clark is a puppeteer, writer, and performer who has been a member of the Puppet Up - Uncensored since joining them in 2007. His other Henson Alternative projects include Late Night Liars (as William A. Mummy), Neil's Puppet Dreams and No You Shut Up. I don't know why Clark hasn't performed in recent projects produced by Henson Alternative nor a project starring the Muppets. Perhaps he was interested in writing more than puppeteering for television. Brian has been a writer for numerous animated series such as Yokies, Baydogs, and The Children of Toromiro, not to mention many commercials. I've read that he's also created and written a pilot series called That Gay Ghost for Logo. It seems Brian Clark is completely more interested in writing than puppeteering or he just doesn't puppeteer as often as he writes. According to the Wiki, he is also a co-founder of a famed sketch comedy group known as The Deviants and he's also an alumni of the Groundlings Theat

Alistair Fullarton

Image
Alistair Fullarton was a British puppeteer who was considered a pioneer of theater from the 1960's-70's, almost a whole decade. He puppeteered in Creature Shop productions with Henson, such as Labyrinth (puppeteering with Anthony Asbury and Rollie Krewson on Firey 5) and The Storyteller. Alistair's only non-Creature Shop work was on the Muppet special The Tale of Bunny Picnic. It's a shame Fullarton didn't do other projects with the Muppets, he was probably more interested in doing fantasy creatures and such. He at least got to perform with Muppet performers such as Brian Henson, Geoff Felix, Mike Quinn, and Michael Bayliss, to name a few. Outside of the Creature Shop, he puppeteered on many TV programmes in the UK like Spitting Image, Doctor Who, Button Moon, and Round the Bend (Series 1, his last show). Sadly, Alistair Fullarton died in 1988 right after doing either Button Moon or Round the Bend. But when he died, his collection of books was left to the Puppet Cen

Charlotte Duberry

Image
Charlotte Duberry is a British puppeteer who served as an additional puppeteer in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. I don't know a lot about her, and I'm pretty sure nobody else does either. Charlotte might be another puppeteer who doesn't have any information about herself. Good thing she's not the only one who has no personal info. David Maida also doesn't have a lot of info about himself. Duberry should work on a lot more works by the Henson Company, that way she'll have more experience and information. I think Charlotte has her own Vimeo channel and has made many untitled videos, but I'm not sure. I believe she should come out of her comfort zone and do puppeteer interviews or television appearances so the world and myself could get to know her more. Maybe when this pandemic ends, she'll do more projects by either the Creature Shop or the Henson Company with other performers. If Duberry has created her own channel for Vimeo, then she should confir

Sarai Tzuriel

Image
Sarai Tzuriel is a Northern Israel actress and singer who has performed the full-bodied Kippi Ben Kippod on the two Israel co-productions of Sesame Street, Rechov Sumsum and Shalom Sesame. For the Hebrew dub of the latter, she has also re-voiced Mary Tyler Moore and Joan Rivers. Tzuriel has also appeared on-screen as the VJ for a recurring "Rechov Video" segments during season one of the show in the latter. Her character Kippi has made a guest appearance in the Sesame Street special, Sesame Street Stays Up Late. I wonder why Sarai only performed a full-body character and not hand puppet characters. It was probably a more comfortable for her to show her whole body on-screen and not under a puppet. Tzuriel has also spent her military service in an Army musical ensemble, as I have read. As for her singing career, in 1985, she's released a children's CD called Infant Songs from A to Z. One year later, Sarai appeared at the Eurovision Song Contest performing a song with Mo

Helen Sloan

Image
Helen Sloan is a Northern-Irish puppeteer and photographer who performed one of the Weatherberries on the first season of Sesame Tree. That was probably the only show she puppeteered on. How come Helen did only Sesame Tree and not other projects? Sloan could have also worked on The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance or on The Furchester Hotel as various guest characters. But I'm going to assume she's much happier doing photography, for most of her work in show business was being a photographer. Her most notable job was being an on-set photographer for Game of Thrones, where she's done stills, promo images, behind the scenes, and more. Some of Helen Sloan's other photography is seen on Cherrybomb, Ghost Machine and The Frankenstein Chronicles, to name a few. She has done a lot of photography and stills for many feature films and TV series. She must be more interested in photography than puppetry since she's done the former more than the latter. Helen's latest photog

Richard Termine

Image
Richard Termine is a puppeteer, puppet designer/builder, and photographer who held a Master of Fine Arts degree in puppetry from The University of Connecticut. In 1980, he joined the Muppet Workshop to work with the Sesame Street team while being supervised by Caroly Wilcox. For his Sesame Street job, Richard puppeteered several characters throughout the mid 1980's and performed a house called 2104 Shady Lane in a sketch. In addition to that Richard designed and built several characters like Placido Flamingo, Meryl Sheep, and Wolfgang the Seal. However, he only received credit as a builder, not as a puppeteer. I did not know this, but I read Termine was on the board of the Jim Henson Foundation since the mid 1980's, and is probably still on the board this current day. He soon became proficient in photography, and was eventually hired by CTW for set photography, B-rolls, and press kits. Richard Termine is still doing photography this current day and is also doing photography for

Francis Kane

Image
Francis Kane is a puppeteer, puppet builder, and mime who didn't do a lot of projects involving either the Muppets or Sesame Street. He was discovered by Muppet builder Kermit Love at the University of Hawaii and brought to New York to replace Brian Muehl as the back end of Mr. Snuffleupagus. That was the only role Francis played on Sesame Street and he only did it for the 1979 season. After that season, Kane left the show and was replaced by Bryant Young who did that role since. His role soon rose outside of Sesame Street, for in 1981, he played the role of Baxter on The Great Space Coaster, which has also featured many puppeteers that worked on Sesame Street like Pam Arciero, Kevin Clash, Noel MacNeal, Jim Martin, and John Lovelady. I don't know whatever happened to him after working on that show until 1987. I've read that Francis Kane served as a puppet builder in Kermit Love's video series called Whirligig. But after that, nobody knows what ever happened to him. I h

Phil Baron

Image
Phil Baron is a puppeteer, writer, voice actor, and songwriter who served as an additional puppeteer on several episodes of Muppets Tonight. He also composed songs for Sesame Street projects, like in one of their videos called Sing-Along Earth Songs. Outside of Muppets Tonight and Sesame Street, Phil is best known for being the voice of Teddy Ruxpin for a line of talking toys and spin-off animated series. Some of Baron's other achievements have been composing music and voicing characters for Welcome to Pooh Corner and Dumbo's Circus, writing/puppeteering on The Adventures of Timmy the Tooth, and serving as executive producer of Rhino Records' Kid Rhino division. I also read that he has even worked on several Jewish-heritage themed children puppet videos, like Bubbe's Boarding House and the Alef-Bet-Blast Off video series. He is probably the only Muppet puppeteer who is Jewish, I think. Maybe there are other puppeteers like Phil Baron who are Jewish. Muppet Wiki says tha

Ted Michaels

Image
Ted Michaels is a puppeteer and improv actor who has been a puppeteer for the Henson Company since 2006. His Henson Alternative projects include Puppet Up, The Simian Undercover Detective Squad (as Yeager), and No You Shut Up! Ted's only Muppet work was on The Muppets (2015) uncredited. Other than puppetry, Michaels is also an alum of the Groundlings Theater in Los Angeles. Some of his stage credits include One Word Improv, Boy From Mars, MADtv, According to Jim, and more, plus a lot of commercial appearances. His latest work with Henson Alternative was performing Ezra and a Sexist Thug and being core puppeteer in the film The Happytime Murders. I wonder why Ted Michaels hasn't performed in any other projects featuring the Muppets. He was probably busy working in a stage show with the Groundlings Theater. In addition to being a puppeteer and improv actor, he is also a writer who only wrote on two shows for its two channels, Mike Tyson Mysteries on Adult Swim and Bucket and Skin
