Nathan Danforth

Nathan Danforth is a puppeteer who served as an additional puppeteer for two Muppet films and a Muppet holiday television special called Lady Gaga & the Muppets' Holiday Spectacular. As assistant for The Muppets film, he puppeteered Sweetums whenever Matt Vogel was doing another character, operated one of the Mutations and operated The Swedish Chef for a scene. Nathan has also performed a few characters in Neil's Puppet Dreams by Henson Alternative. I've read that before Danforth worked on The Muppets, he worked with Jason Segel on the 1000th episode of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, where they both sang and puppeteered a version of "Dracula's Lament" from Segel's film Forgetting Sarah Marshall. He then got a request to build a short puppet segment for How I Met Your Mother. His other outside work is seen on an Avenue Q National Tour Commercial and with Swazzle puppet company. I wish Nathan Danforth would perform in more works involving the Muppets since they are still performing across California today. In addition to Matt Vogel, he got to work with many of puppeteers such as Eric Jacobson, Donna Kimball, Steve Whitmire, Brian Clark, and more. I just hope he is doing alright right now and thinking about puppeteering again. You never know when the Muppets will ask Nathan to assist them on a future project. As long as Danforth one of the additional puppeteers, that will be all that matters for now. Though technically Henson Alternative would be part of Henson Company. Nathan Danforth, you're a pretty talented puppeteer and you work very well with adults. If only you'd perform your own characters with them, then you would be a Muppet performer. Until you assist them again, practice puppetry again if you've stopped. Good luck Nathan. You rock Danforth!
