Susan Solomon
Susan Solomon is an actress, suit performer, writer, and singer-songwriter who mostly did minor roles on television and film. She also performed the full-bodied Auntie Bumble on The Huggabug Club for the first two seasons, working alongside Ilysia J. Pierce and Bret Shefter. I wonder how Susan managed to voice Auntie Bumble from inside the costume made by the company KCL Productions. Solomon usually had minor roles on screen as seen in Fastlane, Married... with Children, and Raising the Bar, but recurring roles on the show Cory and the Wongnotes. According to her IMDb bio, she traveled across America to do different roles in show business such as portraying Sophie Tucker in Bubbling Brown Sugar on Broadway, following a role in Let My People Come. She later got a gig in Saturday Night Fever before moving to CA to become a recording star then traveling to the Middle East to perform at Inter-Continental Hotel. As well as performing on stage and screen, Susan Solomon also wrote her own one-woman solo show entitled It's Hard Out Here for a White Chick Sounding Black and Trying to Act. Other stage roles include portraying Jeanette in The Full Monty, Jenny's Mom in Internet Dating: The Musical, and numerous others. As for film, besides the one mentioned above, she had roles in School Daze, Impact, Tarot, and The Sac Fly, as well as making an appearance as a flying witch in a Super Bowl commercial. It's a shame though that Susan never did any other suit performance roles after Huggabug Club, she would have been a perfect performer for the Muppets or even Sesame Street, though she technically worked with puppets on Huggabug Club in puppet show segments. I just hope Solomon gives herself time to relax after every stage and screen role she did over the years in her career. A performer's work is never done, unless the performer in question retires. Until then, she will remain active on both stage and screen. Susan Solomon from performing on a kids show to doing big time productions to writing your own one-woman show, you really became an acting queen. Keep doing stage and screen and always remember how much fun it was doing The Huggabug Club. Not to mention all of those other productions you've done over the years. There's no business-like show business as they say Susan. Continue performing, writing, and being excellent Solomon!
