Dilpreet Kaur Walia

Dilpreet Kaur Walia is a British puppeteer and writer for children's TV, both live-action and animated. She served as one of the "puppeteer interns" during the second season of The Furchester Hotel, with Emily Morus-Jones and Lewis McCabe. Dilpreet was also an additional puppeteer on The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, which shows she does shows for families too. Walia also had a puppet caricature of herself on an episode of The Furchester Hotel, portrayed by one of the Anything Muppets. Apart from those two series, she mostly wrote for children's television like on Millie and Lou, Circle Square, Hey Duggee, and Peppa Pig, to name a few. I wonder why she didn't do any other production with puppetry, as that would help give her more experience to add to her resume. Dilpreet Kaur Walia still did a fine job on Furchester Hotel and Dark Crystal nonetheless, but I hope in the future she'll puppeteer again. She has written for puppetry on Dodge's Pup School, according to her X account, so maybe she'll perform with her friends at some point. She still writes for children's television today for various networks like PBS Kids, CBeebies, Nickelodeon, and even ones in other countries. I'd say working on The Furchester Hotel gave Dilpreet some puppet experience while being in college gave her some performing and writing training. Plus, it's not everyday someone like Walia would get a caricature puppet of her during internship. She's successful at writing now, but she should get an equal amount of success with her puppetry. There's always a chance for her to obtain the opportunity to puppeteer again. Dilpreet Kaur Walia, from an intern puppeteer on The Furchester Hotel to a successful writer for children's television, you've really made an impact. Keep doing scripts for live-action and animated shows so that you'll gain more opportunities to do something bigger, like writing a feature film. You never know when something like that will happen you know. As long as you keep doing both scripts and puppetry, you can do anything Dilpreet. You did a splendid job and you still are Walia!

June Privett

Image
June Privett is a puppeteer, puppet designer, and builder who is best known for performing on the Baby Einstein videos. She worked alongside her husband Dave Privett on the videos and also at their puppet company PlaySoup, which made the puppets. June and her husband replaced Markie Scholz since more puppets were probably needed during the later video series. Privett appears to have done wonderful as an entertainer for babies since she's done numerous videos until the series ended. Afterwards, she and her husband have been introducing many innovations at PlaySoup such as the Toobie puppets. The two also sell their puppets to people, sort of like Steve Axtell at Axtell Expressions, he also sells puppets for people to use in their acts. Though I wish June Privett would've met a Muppet performer from Sesame Street for they did their own project for babies, Sesame Beginnings. Since 2018, she and her husband sold their company to another couple, Kristofer and Amanda Sommerfeld, two ...

Brock Winkless was a puppeteer and visual effects technician, best known for being the puppeteer of Chucky in the Child's Play franchise and the Crypt Keeper on Tales from the Crypt. A magazine stated that he understood lip-syncing of a puppet's mouth movements which gave him the skill to puppeteer his characters to vocal tracks. Brock frequently worked with director and make-up artist Kevin Yagher on many projects, such as the Child's Play series, the Crypt Keeper, and the film Honey, I Blew Up the Kid. Winkless also collaborated with other studios for make-up and visual effects throughout his career, including Animated FX Inc., owned by Norman Tempia. Other films he puppeteered in over the years have included Death Becomes Her, Man's Best Friend, Congo, The X-Files, and Dr. Dolittle 2. But no matter what films he does he'll always be known for being both Chucky and the Crypt Keeper since he's done both roles for years. Apart from doing puppetry, Brock Winkless...

Gavin Sainsbury is an Australian puppeteer, prop master, and mechanist who puppeteered on a couple of Henson Company projects such as Bambaloo, Farscape, and the stage show Pan. He got to work with several performers on the former two such as Fiona Gentle, Mat McCoy, Roslyn Oades, Sean Masterson and more. It's a good thing Gavin has a resume and work account, so anybody who wants to know about him, can look up online and read his projects. Some of the outside projects Sainsbury puppeteered on include The Wiggles, Raggs, New MacDonald's Farm, When Good Ghouls Go Bad, and most notably, the Walking with Dinosaurs Arena Spectacular. In addition to puppetry, he also provided standby props for Hi-5 and was a machinist and stage manager for numerous live shows. His endorses have included Paul McGinnis and Graeme Haddon who directed him on some of the projects listed. Gavin Sainsbury seems to be highly skilled at both regular puppets as well as animatronic puppets which earned him the ...
