Darren Pickering

Darren Pickering is a Canadian art director, puppet builder and performer, prop master, and set decorator who is known for his work across Canada in many companies. He worked with Lenz Entertainment with the Grogs on shows such as Mr. Meaty, Nanalan, and Big & Small, as a puppeteer and art department guy doing sets and props. Darren also worked on The Doodlebops doing sets, props, and puppet wrangling. In life, Pickering got to work with other puppeteers such as Jason Hopley, Jamie Shannon, Ali J. Eisner, and Frank Meschkuleit, the latter two currently work on Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. It's a shame he does not perform on any Henson Company projects shot in Canada, as he was probably too busy working with both Lenz Entertainment and Cookie Jar Entertainment. I personally think he would be perfect to work on Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock since the sets and props are so intriguing, but the show hasn't done any new seasons as of now. At least Darren Pickering got to work with a few Fraggle Rock performers in his career. Later projects include Odd Squad, Annedroids, Anaana's Tent, and Essex County, the former he still does today. Maybe someday, he'll be interviewed on some podcast for his work, the world needs to know his whereabouts since 2024. I certainly hope that at some point Darren will get to work on a future Fraggle Rock production, you never know when something like that will happen. Until then, Pickering should continue to make puppets, props, and sets for numerous productions for years to come. Maybe he'll even reunite with a puppeteer he worked with in his career like the ones mentioned or Marty Stelnick and Todd Doldersum. Years of working together can make friendship you know. Darren Pickering, you have outdone yourself with the set, prop, and puppet work you've done over the years. Keep up the marvelous work and keep your fingers crossed that you will end up landing a gig on a Fraggle Rock production. If you show off your designs from past projects to the Henson Company, I'm sure you'll get your chance to be selected. But even if it doesn't happen, you're still a professional art department leader Darren. Well done Pickering!

Gavin Sainsbury

Gavin Sainsbury is an Australian puppeteer, prop master, and mechanist who puppeteered on a couple of Henson Company projects such as Bambaloo, Farscape, and the stage show Pan. He got to work with several performers on the former two such as Fiona Gentle, Mat McCoy, Roslyn Oades, Sean Masterson and more. It's a good thing Gavin has a resume and work account, so anybody who wants to know about him, can look up online and read his projects. Some of the outside projects Sainsbury puppeteered on include The Wiggles, Raggs, New MacDonald's Farm, When Good Ghouls Go Bad, and most notably, the Walking with Dinosaurs Arena Spectacular. In addition to puppetry, he also provided standby props for Hi-5 and was a machinist and stage manager for numerous live shows. His endorses have included Paul McGinnis and Graeme Haddon who directed him on some of the projects listed. Brock Winkless

Brock Winkless was a puppeteer and visual effects technician, best known for being the puppeteer of Chucky in the Child's Play franchise and the Crypt Keeper on Tales from the Crypt. A magazine stated that he understood lip-syncing of a puppet's mouth movements which gave him the skill to puppeteer his characters to vocal tracks. Brock frequently worked with director and make-up artist Kevin Yagher on many projects, such as the Child's Play series, the Crypt Keeper, and the film Honey, I Blew Up the Kid. Winkless also collaborated with other studios for make-up and visual effects throughout his career, including Animated FX Inc., owned by Norman Tempia. Other films he puppeteered in over the years have included Death Becomes Her, Man's Best Friend, Congo, The X-Files, and Dr. Dolittle 2.
