Brian T. Carson

Brian T. Carson is a puppeteer, puppet builder, and suit performer who is best known for being a residence performer at the Museum of the Moving Image. He is also known for working with the puppet company Creatures Inspired and performing his own puppet creations (ex. Silly Willy) for events. I'll bet Brian felt honored when he was given the job of a puppeteer in residence at MOMI since it's literally located next to the Kaufman Astoria Studios, where Sesame Street is taped. Carson met famous Muppet performers over the years and still does to this day, like Stacey Gordon, Brandon Smith, Sebastiano Ricci, and in the past, he even met Caroll Spinney when the latter was still alive. Outside of the MOMI, he got to perform Tigger for a while on the Off-Broadway show version of Winnie the Pooh. But it's not every day you get to see a resident puppeteer in a museum, I know because I saw him myself recently at one of the Jim Henson 90th birthday events. Anyway, Brian T. Carson has really proven himself to be worthy of becoming a Sesame Street performer himself since he's interacted with the show's performers lots of times. It's still wonderful that he gets to perform at the museum a lot and interact with Sesame Street performers at the same time, it's a great honor. Hopefully in the future, he will perform with his friends on Sesame Street since he's a pro at puppetry nowadays. I felt so honored to have puppeteered briefly with Carson himself at that Jim Henson themed event. To others and me, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity that ended up happening. Here's to years to come for his work at the MOMI and other shows. Brian T. Carson, you are a magnificent puppeteer and puppet builder to have such a large and tantalizing career at the MOMI. Keep up the great work, keep in touch with the performers you met, never forget all the memories you posted online, and always be happy. The latter won't be easy, but I'm sure you'll do just fine. Brock Winkless

Brock Winkless was a puppeteer and visual effects technician, best known for being the puppeteer of Chucky in the Child's Play franchise and the Crypt Keeper on Tales from the Crypt. A magazine stated that he understood lip-syncing of a puppet's mouth movements which gave him the skill to puppeteer his characters to vocal tracks. Brock frequently worked with director and make-up artist Kevin Yagher on many projects, such as the Child's Play series, the Crypt Keeper, and the film Honey, I Blew Up the Kid. Winkless also collaborated with other studios for make-up and visual effects throughout his career, including Animated FX Inc., owned by Norman Tempia. Other films he puppeteered in over the years have included Death Becomes Her, Man's Best Friend, Congo, The X-Files, and Dr. Dolittle 2. Gavin Sainsbury

Gavin Sainsbury is an Australian puppeteer, prop master, and mechanist who puppeteered on a couple of Henson Company projects such as Bambaloo, Farscape, and the stage show Pan. He got to work with several performers on the former two such as Fiona Gentle, Mat McCoy, Roslyn Oades, Sean Masterson and more. It's a good thing Gavin has a resume and work account, so anybody who wants to know about him, can look up online and read his projects. Some of the outside projects Sainsbury puppeteered on include The Wiggles, Raggs, New MacDonald's Farm, When Good Ghouls Go Bad, and most notably, the Walking with Dinosaurs Arena Spectacular. In addition to puppetry, he also provided standby props for Hi-5 and was a machinist and stage manager for numerous live shows.
