Julie Burroughs

Julie Burroughs is a Canadian voice actress and puppeteer who performed the role of Tuk on the show Wumpa's World, paired with Jani Lauzon who did Seeka. That was probably the only known production she puppeteered on in her career. Most of Julie's other credits were voiceover roles or dubbing roles in TV shows and films. Some of the shows Burroughs lent her voice to include The Wombles, The Bellflower Bunnies, and Snowsnaps, while her dubbing credits include Arthur, the Total Drama franchise, and many others. It's a shame she only puppeteered on Wumpa's World, but at least she worked with three Sesame Park performers on that show; Lauzon, Pier Paquette, and Tim Gosley. There should be more information about her online besides the websites that already got some of course, whoever knows? Julie Burroughs has also dubbed for international versions of live-action films like Scooby-Doo, Elf, Freaky, and Smile, to name a few. One of these days she'll probably be interviewed for her credits or maybe receive an award for her voice acting career or even reveal her other puppetry credits. Even though she only puppeteered for one show, it was worth getting nominated for an award on it. It must have been pretty hard for Julie to physically operate a puppet and had to go through some training prior to filming Wumpa's World. Even so, Burroughs still did a wonderful job on that show which can be found online through YouTube or Internet Archive. Her voice-acting credits and dubbing credits are also pretty impressive in my opinion. If she's still performing today, she should consider getting interviewed for her work, you never know when a big opportunity like that will happen to her. Julie Burroughs, you've mastered the voice acting area and you weren't bad at puppetry at all. I just hope people will want to learn more about you once more info gets found. It might take a while but I'm sure you'll be recognized by those who've heard your voice. Keep it cool Julie. You rock Burroughs!
