Larry Basgall
Larry Basgall is a puppeteer and puppet builder/wrangler who is known for his work on projects by Spiffy Pictures, working alongside David Rudman. He worked on almost every puppetry project by the company including Jack's Big Music Show, Bunnytown, Curious Buddies, and Donkey Hodie. Larry got to perform alongside various Muppet performers for those shows, besides Rudman, including Frankie Cordero, Haley Jenkins, Alice Dinnean, and John Kennedy, to name a few. Basgall must have been honored to work for such an incredible team of people who run Spiffy Pictures and perform on the productions. Away from the company, he is also the treasurer of another company called the West Michigan Puppetry Guild, where the team builds a puppet community across Michigan. But his most notable company where he got to be in charge was a company called The Village Puppeteers where he and Mike Schwabe developed many shows for both children and adults. It would seem that Larry Basgall is a really active puppet designer, builder, and performer for cities across the Great Lakes area in the US. He also recently got interviewed on a fan's nostalgia podcast for his work at Spiffy Pictures. It's not every day you see a guy like him get interviewed for his work on everything he did throughout his career and still does. I hope Larry will keep working at Spiffy Pictures as well as with The Village Puppeteers, doing numerous shows and taping episodes for the shows he does now (Donkey Hodie). If only Basgall were to take his work to Sesame Street, then not only would he get to be on such a legendary show, but he would also meet more Muppet performers than ever before. You never know when something like that will happen to him in the future. And even if it doesn't he still technically works with Muppet performers in his career. Larry Basgall, you're a puppet natural and a professional at making new puppetry productions. Keep on working at Spiffy Pictures because that company made you the star you are today. And also remain on the West Michigan Puppetry Guild because they are always making new productions time after time. Nice work Larry. You sure outdid yourself Basgall!
