Dean Bareham
Dean Bareham is a Canadian puppeteer, voice actor, puppet builder, and clown who is best known for his work as artistic director for the theatre company Green Fools. He was an additional puppeteer on Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock alongside many other performers such as Ali DeRegt, Jamie Konchak, Brendan James Boyd, and Andrew G. Cooper. It must have been very exciting for Dean to work on a reboot of such an iconic series, and to assist the main performers, all of which are legendary. Bareham also puppeteered on the show Joe Pickett and lent his voice to English dubs of anime such as Mobile Fighter G Gundam. Some of his other collaborations, according to his bio, include being a clown with Cirque du Soleil at Toronto's Luminato Festival and designing/building puppets and creatures for many zoos and aquariums all across North America. That's amazing for someone like him to have numerous contributions over the years in his career, which of course took him around the world. Dean Bareham even has an alter ego called Gustavo the Impossibilist, who entertained international audiences with performances combining storytelling, stilt walking, and clowning. His web bio also states that he's a proud Métis person, honoring his heritage traditions and the land where he was born, something people in Alberta do, I think. Working at Green Fools Theatre really earned himself many achievements such as going around the world and performing on the reboot of the legendary Fraggle Rock series. Dean is still performing today and has recently been interviewed for his many contributions to the world such as puppetry, clowning, and voice acting. I sure hope Bareham makes himself a good role model for those that have witnessed his performances or learned from him. You never know when someone will see him as their idol. If Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock continues for another season or two, the producers will know just who to contact to be an additional performer. Dean Bareham, you've amazed everyone in the world with your skills and performances and that's something to be proud of. Keep on performing for audiences around the world and always thank back on how much fun you've had on the Fraggle Rock reboot. Alter ego or no alter ego, you sure know how to make the impossible possible. Stupendous job at performing Dean. You're definitely considered an inspiration to every one of us Bareham!
