Jody St. Michael
Jody St. Michael is a mime and occasional suit performer who has performed on a few projects by the Creature Shop. He worked on Dinosaurs (as the Clerk in a 3rd season episode), George of the Jungle (a gorilla), and The Country Bears (as Tennessee O'Neil). I don't know why Jody only performed on three Creature Shop projects in his career, but still, three is better than nothing. Outside, St. Michael has been seen as a gorilla performer on many projects such as Gorillas in the Mist, The Last Chance Detectives: Legend of the Desert Bigfoot, X-Files, and Father Dowling Mysteries. Other films include Monkeybone and Hellraiser: Bloodline while other TV shows include CHiPs (out of costume) and The Chronicle. He must have been very tired performing in-suit as a lot of creatures. Other performers Jody St. Michael got to work with at the Creature Shop include Leif Tilden, Mak Wilson, Julianne Buescher, Denise Cheshire, and many mothers. He may have only done a few Creature Shop productions, but at least he got to meet several other suit performers and puppeteers who've worked with the Muppets. Nobody seems to know his whereabouts after The Country Bears until 2019 where he wrote, produced, and played Corey in a short called The Palsy Affect. I wonder if that meant Jody has met someone with cerebral palsy in his life. Well, whatever the case is, St. Michael has made a great short about people who can get cerebral palsy in their lives. If people were to watch that short online, they would have an idea on how to handle a situation like that when interacting with someone who's got cerebral palsy. And they would have this man to thank for making and performing in the short for visual example. Jody St. Michael, despite the limited amount of Creature Shop projects, you were still great in all of them in-suit as many creatures. You're one of the first (and probably only) mimes to make something related to a disease. Take a break from suit performing many creatures because I know it can be exhausting wearing a full-bodied costume for hours. Well played Jody. You're a real creature performer St. Michael!
