Caleb Fullam
Caleb Fullam was a puppeteer, designer, writer, and director who was known for his many puppets shows throughout his career. He was also one of the puppeteers on the show Whirligig which featured numerous Muppet performers such as Bruce Edward Hall, Nikki Tilroe, Rick Lyon, and Alison Mork. Caleb also worked with Tilroe on a 1992 theatrical show called The Poet's Eye, basing their work on revered classics such as Shakespeare and Japanese folklore. Fullam may not have done any Muppet productions, but he did get to perform alongside legendary Muppet designer Kermit Love on Whirligig. Apart from The Poet's Eye, his other best-known pieces include The Conquering Worm, The Magician's Secret Garden, and A Full Elegy for a Parrot, to name a few. He was even the founder of his own two companies, one for adults and one for kids, The Other Glove Theatre and Tatterdemalion Puppets. Caleb Fullam was even a part of the National Puppet Conference in 2000 and 2001 where he created and performed Audrey Beardsley's inspired works. It's a pity those were his last projects in his career because in October 2004, he died. Even though he's gone now, he still got to work with a Muppet legend in his career, despite it not being a show by Henson or the Muppets. I'm sure everyone still remembers Caleb today or at least they will remember him once again when they read this post. Let's hope Fullam's works are kept in a museum for people to learn about him, or at least someone inherited one or both of his companies. I certainly hope Whirligig will be found online and archived for people to watch and see his performances on that show. There are a couple of Whirligig videos on YouTube, but hopefully more will come in the future, because no one or no production deserves to be forgotten. Caleb Fullam, you were a wonderful puppeteer, and you were terrific in the theater. Hopefully you're works are archived for historical use and entertainment use. If your companies went defunct, there's nobody who can replace you in running those companies (at least not to my knowledge). Keep on watching everything from heaven Caleb. You've lived a wonderful life in the puppet industry Fullam!
