Todd Stockman
Todd Stockman is an actor, ventriloquist, and puppeteer who is known for doing the latter two in film, kids television, theatre, and other venues. He hasn't really worked on any Muppet projects, but IMDb states he assisted on The Muppets Take Manhattan, which of course is false. Todd has however worked with four Muppet performers on the show Whirligig which were Nikki Tilroe, Alison Mork, Rick Lyon, and Bruce Edward Hall. Stockman also got to work alongside the legendary Muppet designer Kermit Love who acted, created, and directed on the series. Apart from Whirligig, he served as a ventriloquism consultant for the Nunsense franchise and the film Cradle Will Rock also puppeteering on that. I read on Muppet Wiki that he also wrote a cover story about Caroll Spinney being Big Bird in a 1989 article of The Puppetry Journal. Some of the other works Todd Stockman did include being principal performer for five MCI commercials as well as performing the ventriloquist dummy named Lenny. He also acted on the shows Square One Television and Mathnet, both as the characters Edgar Bergman and Charlie McShtick, which were probably parodies of Edgar Bergen and his dummy Charlie McCarthy. Nobody seems to know the whereabouts of him after the early 2000s, though my guess is that he's still doing a lot of venues showing of his puppetry and ventriloquism skills. Even though Todd never really worked on a Muppet or Henson project, he still got to work with many Muppet people on Whirligig. I wonder how Stockman got selected to be one of the puppeteers for that production. I hope he still remembers doing that show today as it was all taped back in 1992. Ventriloquism seems to be his major top skill as he's done it for stage and screen as well as be a consultant for it too, whatever that is. Todd Stockman, you're puppetry and ventriloquism skills are top notch and real hip. If you're still doing it, keep at it so that everyone will want to interview you. And you should feel honored to have worked with a legendary Muppet designer/builder who is gone but never forgotten. Real smooth Todd. You rock Stockman!
