Stacey Weingarten
Stacey Weingarten is a puppet/prop builder, puppeteer, writer, director, and producer who is best known for working with the Henson Company since 2008. She started out as a production assistant on Sesame Street on segments during its 40th season before becoming a puppet wrangler and prop builder for the Muppet Workshop. Stacey has received on-screen credit for her Sesame work since the 45th season of the show. Weingarten also served as a puppet wrangler for the Sesame Street characters within several television and promotional appearances. In addition to Sesame Street, she also worked with the Disney Muppets on The Muppets Mayhem and the upcoming Muppet Show special. I'll bet she felt thrilled to contribute to the famous Disney Muppets on their recent productions. Outside, Stacey Weingarten has worked many productions like Avenue Q, Johnny and the Sprites, Monica's Mixing Bowl, and Rescue Rue, to name a few. She has also puppeteered on numerous projects like Crank Yankers, ImaginOcean, Oki Doki, and Beach Day. I'm hoping that she'll puppeteer with Sesame Street or The Muppets in the near future, as lots of Muppet designers and builders performed characters as well. In addition to doing puppets, Stacey also wrote, directed, and/or produced for many shows which even I didn't know about until looking on her website. Some of the shows Weingarten wrote, directed, and/or produced for have included Hedgehearts by Elizabeth Hara, Reading Buddies, Ludo's Broken Bride, and many more. But no matter what she does, she'll always be known for working on Sesame Street building and wrangling puppets and props. There's no telling what she'll do next. Stacey Weingarten, you've done so well in the Muppet Workshop, working with Rollie Krewson, Lara MacLean, Andrea Detwiler, and others. Keep up the great work and be proud of how much you've accomplished throughout your career. You always have a home in the hearts of puppet fans. Splendid puppet builds Stacey. Carry on Weingarten!
