Cheri VandenHeuvel
Cheri VandenHeuvel is an actress, poet, and puppeteer who is known for acting in many theatres across America. As for puppetry, she serves as a member of GLOP (Glorious Ladies of Puppetry) and recently performed in Sketch Fest with GLOP meets GLOG (Glorious Ladies of Groundlings). Cheri is also in training with Henson's Puppet Up company, which means she could be one of the next women to work on the Puppet Up shows. VandenHeuvel is also an alumnus of The Second City-Detroit Mainstage as a teacher, writer, and performer of sketch comedy like Detroit Sandwich. Her theatre credits include King Lear, The Trojan Women, Around the World in 80 Days, To Kill a Mockingbird, and more. Some of the shows she did have got herself awarded like in Flyin' West, Low Hanging Fruit, and I Go Somewhere Else. Upon moving to Los Angeles, Cheri VandenHeuvel got brought into the world of puppetry with GLOP, meeting several female puppeteers such as Genevieve Flati, Peggy Etra, Kathryn Molloy, Adrian Rose, and many others. I for one am glad that she added puppetry to her career as well as meeting some puppeteers, most who are considered Muppet performers. She's still working with GLOP as well as the Henson Company with Puppet Up. Hopefully in the future, Cheri will get a chance to perform her own character on a future production by Henson Company or even The Muppets. Meantime, VandenHeuvel should continue to act and puppeteer on whatever's coming up or is currently happening right now. If anyone is watching her skills, they should see her as iconic and be inspired to get into the world of show business. You can never tell when that will happen in the future or not. Cheri VandenHeuvel, you are a wonderful actress, and I think you're getting the hang of puppetry with all that training. Keep acting on theatre shows and performing with GLOP. And I'm sure that with all of the effort you're putting into the company, you'll be a master puppeteer in no time. Excellent Cheri. You got glory VandenHeuvel!
