Adrian Parish

Adrian Parish is a designer and puppeteer who worked on numerous Creature Shop productions. He has designed animatronics for The Flintstones, Buddy, Farscape, Five Children and It, and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, to name a few. Adrian was also an uncredited puppeteer on the 1999 film version of Alice in Wonderland operating The Gryphon and Baby, both shared with other performers. Parish got to work alongside Nigel Plaskitt, Rob Tygner, Adrian Getley, Kiran Shah, and others on that film. It's a shame his page on the Muppet Wiki doesn't have personal information about himself, because fans will want to know more about him and what other projects he did. At least there's a picture of him online, as pointed out above found on Muppet Wiki. Adrian Parish also built puppets on Me and My Monsters, his latest Creature Shop production to date, and since then, nobody knows his whereabouts. He returned to puppetry in 2019 on Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker where he was credited as a creature and droid puppeteer. That's a good sign showing that he's still active and working with animatronics and creatures in both film and television. I'm glad Adrian got to work on a Star Wars film, as many Creature Shop puppeteers have been working on the Star Wars franchise for years. Let's hope Parish continues to work on film with animatronics because he's a master at designing them and not so bad at puppeteering those creatures as well. He must have felt so excited to be selected to work on that Star Wars film since it involved the legendary Frank Oz (though only his Yoda voice was heard in the film). Even though he didn't actually meet Oz in person, he still technically worked with Oz. Adrian Parish, you're a pro when it comes to designing animatronics and you did pretty well as a puppeteer too. If you're still working on films, keep at it. And always remember how much fun you've had working on all those Creature Shop productions over the years. Very intriguing animatronics Adrian. You're out of this world Parish!
