Vanessa Valliere
Vanessa Valliere is a puppeteer, actress, and clown who is known for creating original solo shows which combined her skills of clowning and puppetry. She once worked at Heather Henson's Handmade Puppet Dreams creating a short puppet film called Gut Feelings, which received several awards from showing at several worldwide film festivals. Vanessa went on to do many other shows such as Mucca Pazza, The Life and Times of Terry, and her most recent solo one, LOOK! LOOK! Valliere has also done national and international tours with the company Manual Cinema as Ada in their production of Ada/Ava. That's very impressive that she got to tour the world portraying a character that ended up very popular among many audiences. As well as meeting a member of the Henson family, she also met Grant Baciocco from her interview on the podcast Under the Puppet. Vanessa Valliere should be proud to have accomplished so much throughout her career, starting with Mucca Pazza, a national touring band from Chicago. From 2011-2016, she was also a member of a clown/performer ensemble for Tour De Fat, a touring festival with New Belgium Brewery as its sponsor. With the festival, she was responsible for both the creation and performance of the festival's creative content. In addition to performing, Vanessa served as assistant director on Yael Rasooli's solo show called Edith and Me, which she did in both 2022 and 2023. Valliere should consider getting in touch with Heather Henson again and maybe ask to meet the other members of the Henson family, if possible. You never know when someone as talented as her will get to work on a Henson Company project in the future, whenever that is. In the meantime, she should continue to do her solo shows and keep up her clowning and puppetry skills for people to enjoy. Vanessa Valliere, you are a queen at making solo shows and you're well trained when it comes to performing. Keep on doing shows like LOOK! LOOK! for people to always remember you. I'm glad you got to work for Heather Henson earlier in your career, at her companies that is. Well done, Vanessa. Superb job Valliere!
