Ellis Lalonde

Ellis Lalonde is a Canadian puppeteer, puppet builder, musician, and improviser who serves as one of the additional puppeteers on Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. He must have felt very thrilled to be part of the team of Fraggle Rock performers, most notably Dave Goelz and Karen Prell. Ellis also met new puppeteers who also gained experience like Ali DeRegt, Geneviève Paré, and Brendan James Boyd, to name a few. Lalonde should do more Henson productions in the future, if the company ever makes new projects in Canada that is. Outside, he has built and performed puppets for various children's shows at Loose Moose Theatre for eight years, trained at the National Puppetry Conference, and even performed in many late-night cabarets for Calgary Animated Objects Society. That's pretty impressive for someone who is new at Henson Company to do. In addition to performing, Ellis Lalonde was also a musician for Goblin: MacBeth back in 2022 at The Shakespeare Company which also has more info on him. His bio from that show states that he is a long-time collaborator of Horak & Northan and lent his talents to the Spontaneous Theatre creations like LEGEND HAS IT for example. It's amazing how much this person contributed to Canada over the years in his career. Let's hope Ellis continues to do Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock until the series concludes (whenever that is). And maybe Lalonde will get his chance to be a puppet builder in the Creature Shop. You never know when someone like him will be selected, after all it happened to both Boyd and Reese Scott during the second season of the show. No matter what project he does, theatre is where he receives his biggest accomplishments yet, at least, I think. Ellis Lalonde, I am pretty impressed by how much work you've done throughout Canada, including the one that's seen around the world, Fraggle Rock. Keep on building and performing puppets as well as providing music to specific theatre productions, whatever they are. You'll be recognized more and more each day, I just know it. Until then, always keep yourself occupied Ellis. No business like show business Lalonde!
