David Strassman
David Strassman is a ventriloquist, actor, stand-up comedian, and voice actor who is best known for his ventriloquism acts around the world. His two well-known characters are Chuck Wood and Ted E. Bear while his others include Sid Beaverman, Kevin, Grandpa Fred, and more. David started out in comedy clubs and later appeared in the horror film Humanoids from the Deep (with his Chuck Wood). Initially, Strassman operated his character like a regular ventriloquist dummy, but in 1986, he added on remote controls to his puppet using many technologies. Since then, he has done many performances around the world in festivals, children's hospitals, and television appearances. He also had his own TV talk show called Strassman where his character Chuck Wood interviewed celebrities. It's a shame David Strassman only appeared in one feature film, because his comedic talents would be perfect for comedy films, but he's probably more comfortable with TV. It's amazing how he's able to operate his ventriloquist puppets and makes them look so lifelike. Like in the play Duality for example, he operated his character Zack manually with his hand in the back and controlling it through wireless robotics. I think David should consider meeting someone from the Creature Shop, because they create radio-controlled puppets from time to time. Strassman is definitely on the Top 10 list for the world's greatest ventriloquists, at least he will be one of these days. From comedy clubs in New York to international appearances in the UK and Australia, this guy knows how to entertain people of all ages with his acts. And who knows, maybe he'll get to appear in another film, you never know. David Strassman, you're a master at ventriloquism and an over-the-top funny comedian. Keep on performing for stage and television and you'll be recognized as one of the greatest ventriloquists to ever live. It might be a little difficult, but a little goes a long way. It will be impossible to replace you, David. You're a ventriloquist extraordinaire Strassman!
