Trace Beaulieu
Trace Beaulieu is an actor, puppeteer, comedian, and writer who is known for being one of the original cast members of Mystery Science Theater 3000. He is also known for working on MST3K's successor Cinematic Titanic which had the original creators and cast from MST3K. On MST3K, Trace was on for the first eight seasons where he performed the Crow T. Robot puppet, portrayed Dr. Clayton Forrester, and wrote for the show itself. After the seventh season, Beaulieu left the show, and the role of Crow was taken over by various puppeteers over the years such as Nate Begle and Kelsey Ann Brady. Apart from MST3K, he also served as a writer on America's Funniest Home Videos from 1998-2007 and made lots of appearances on many shows like Freaks and Geeks. But the other production, Cinematic Titanic, was his other best project as it appeared both on television and live on stage from 2007-2013 when the show went on an indefinite hiatus. I wonder if Trace Beaulieu ever got to meet the Muppets during his time on AFV for the Muppets guest appeared to promote The Muppets Wizard of Oz. Apart from acting, he also wrote a one-shot comic book called Here Come the Big People as well as a children's poetry book called Silly Rhymes for Belligerent Children. This shows that he not only works well with adults, but he also works well with children, sort of. Trace reprised the role of Crow T. Robot for a few appearances related to MST3K, including the feature film Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie. Beaulieu must be proud to have originated such a popular science fiction character, who has since gone on to numerous puppeteers as mentioned above. But no matter who performs Crow T. Robot, he will always be the one and only originator. Since 2015, he joined former co-star Frank Conniff and together they went on tour as "The Mads Are Back", where they riff older B-movies in front of live audiences. Trace Beaulieu, you are one of those performers to be considered scientific. You're also a hilarious science-fiction puppeteer there is. I hope you keep doing "The Mads Are Back" for the near future. Nice Trace. Ta Beaulieu!
