Katy Williams
Katy Williams is a puppeteer, designer, builder, and director who is known for doing numerous theatre productions over the years in her career. She puppeteered on many shows such as Lobstermen in Love, Avenue Q, Death Goes on Strike, and many others. Katy is also known for being both a puppeteer and a producer for The Rocky Mountain Puppet Slam (since 2018) and Rocky Mountain Puppet Palooza. It's amazing how Williams is able to do all of those theatre productions, even creating her very own puppet company called Katy Williams Design. In addition to puppets, she also designs makeup, props, sets, and many forms of artwork, as seen in Fiddler on the Roof, Shrek the Musical, and more. Though I wish she would perform or contribute designs for a production featuring the Muppets because she's done several forms of puppet artistry over the years in her career. However, Katy Williams has met one performer of a Muppet production which is Grant Baciocco, who interviewed her one time on his podcast. There's so much she's done over the years with her company in addition to puppetry, like teaching the art form for students in many programs. She may not have worked with the Muppets or Henson Company, but she did puppeteer Chupacabra for a movie teaser, they built the puppet. As long as Katy is still performing, that's currently all that matters, Henson or not. Williams should be proud to have her own company as well as been able to puppeteer, design, and direct all of those productions she did. This shows that if the person has the right skills, they can accomplish anything whether you're a man or a woman. She is still doing The Rocky Mountain Puppet Slam as well as other theatrical productions to this day, if she ever steps down, let's hope that never happens. Katy Williams, you're a master of puppetry within the Rocky Mountains and you technically performed a Henson Company puppet. Keep on doing your company so that you'll be acknowledged. There nothing you can't do. Delightful designs Katy. Peace Williams!
