Asmund Huser

Asmund Huser is a Norwegian puppeteer and producer who is known for performing Bjarne Betjent on the Norwegian co-production of Sesame Street, Sesam Stasjon. On that show he performed with Hanne Dahle, Christine Stoesen, and Geir Borresen, all of which had their own character. Asmund also did the role of Bjarne for the Sesame Street Stays Up Late special, with Kevin Clash dubbing the character for that appearance. Huser has been known for being one of the most prolific puppeteers in Norway having performed characters on numerous shows. Shows like Christmas in Shoemaker's Street (as Tofflus), 3-4-5 (as Smitt and Smule), and Portveien 2 (as Raffen and others). In addition to television, he has also produced and performed in many stage puppet shows. Norwegians were right to say that Asmund Huser is a prolific puppeteer since he's done so many productions over the years. His only non-puppet role to date was on an award-winning children TV series called Uhu as a ghost named Napoleon. It seemed to be unknown what ever happened to him after the show ended but apparently he's been photographed a lot of times. I wonder if Asmund still remembers doing Sesam Stasjon today since the production ended years ago and Bjarne was put in a museum. Let's hope Huser still keeps in touch with his friends from that show since they separated. I'll bet he was devastated when he heard that Borresen died in 2022 and maybe attended his funeral, if Norwegians do funerals that is. As long as he remembers doing that show today, that's what matters for an international performer. Asmund Huser, you've done so wonderful on Sesam Stasjon as Bjarne Betjent for years. And you were also lucky to participate in the Sesame Street New Year's Eve special, via pre-recorded footage from Norway. If you still puppeteer, keep on doing so and also get interviewed by someone so you can talk about what other projects you've done since 2003 after Uhu. There's always a chance to remember the past Asmund. Splendid puppet job Huser!
