Jennifer Himes
Jennifer Himes is a puppeteer, puppet builder, sculptor, graphic designer, and illustrator who hasn't done Sesame Street but has however did a Sesame puppeteer workshop in 2018. She was under supervision by four performers of Sesame Street; Matt Vogel, Martin P. Robinson, Stephanie D'Abruzzo, and Peter Linz. Apart from the workshop, Jennifer also did Jane Henson's Nativity Story where she designed and sculpted the puppets in the style of the original show. Outside, Himes puppeteered for many companies like Michelee Puppets and Universal Studios while shows include Pete and Penelope, Puppets Skits and Chicks, Nigel, and Dragonfire. Besides building and performing puppets, she's also artistic when doing poster art, character murals, props, backgrounds, and more. She is also another one of those puppeteers to be illustrators like Gene Barretta, Wayne White, and Wendy Froud, to name a few. Jennifer Himes is considered to be one of the most artistic performers in the US since 2016 (the year she started). Perhaps in the future, she'll get to do a Sesame Street project. It might not happen to just anyone but you never know if it does. Jennifer is still doing Michelee Puppets (with Jamie Donmoyer), children's illustration books, short films, and YouTube channels. Himes has definitely got what it takes to become a Muppet performer herself or a Muppet designer/builder, based on her skills. That training at Sesame Workshop and Beyond the Sock has really made her the performer and artist she is today. Let's hope it stays that way for the near future both online and live. Jennifer Himes, despite only training at the 2018 Sesame puppeteer workshop, you've still technically worked with some Sesame Street performers. Keep being artistic and active so that people (especially children) will recognize you. Showing off your skills to the world definitely grants you a place where you belong. Excellent work Jennifer. Stick with it Himes!
