Chris Thatcher

Chris Thatcher is a British puppeteer and actor who served as an additional puppeteer on Muppets Most Wanted and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. I wonder if he likes doing Muppet or Henson projects better since the latter has a more technical style of puppetry with mechanisms. Outside, Chris performs Shloppy, star of a children's web series called Shloppy TV for Bogglesox TV (presumably a channel on YouTube). Thatcher also did several theatrical productions, puppeteering on Avenue Q (UK Tour) and acting on Of Mice and Men, Grease, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and many more. As for television, he performed on the revival of Spitting Image and in an episode of the CBeebies series Grandpa in My Pocket (as Bertie Beep and His Talking Sheep). I've read he also released an adults-only album called Jesus Christ Superstar containing musical theatre songs for adults. That album shows Chris Thatcher is also a singer, obviously since he performed in numerous theatrical productions. Other puppeteers he has worked with include Olly Taylor, Nick Kellington, Josh Elwell, and Mark Mander, to name a few. Let's hope he'll assist the Muppets or the Creature Shop again on a future project. You never know when an opportunity will open up for Chris again. I wonder if Thatcher is related to director Kirk Thatcher, one of the directors of the Muppets. But he's probably not since he's from the UK while Kirk is from the US and is a director. I sure hope he meets the Muppets again. Chris Thatcher, you're great at puppeteering and you did wonderful performing Shloppy for a children's web series. I'm also amazed that you are a singer too. There are lots of puppeteers in the world who are considered singers too. Until you perform with the Muppets again, keep doing whatever it is you're doing Chris. Don't be sloppy Thatcher!
