Michael Paul Ziegfeld
Michael Paul Ziegfeld is a puppeteer, voice actor, filmmaker, and ventriloquist who has performed with Sesame Street and the Henson Company, the latter for many years. According to the podcast Under the Puppet, he stated that he met Jim Henson and participated in Henson Workshops. Michael also made his own MTV web series with two puppet characters named CJ and Peanut. Ziegfeld should be very proud to perform for millions of people for years. In addition to puppetry, he's also great at voice acting which his voice is heard in Disney, Pixar, and more recently, Cartoon Network's Cartoonito as Glob. Some of the people he's opened for include James Brown, Joan Rivers, and Don Rickles; the latter two appeared with the Muppets. Michael Paul Ziegfeld even worked behind the scenes on film and television such as Bedfellas and Spike Lee: American Cinematheque Tribute. I've read that he auditioned to be on Season 14 of America's Got Talent, but got eliminated by the judges after his turn. While on the show, he could have met two other performers, mainly Darci Lynne Farmer and Bill Barretta who did a duet. It's a pity Michael didn't receive a page on the Muppet Wiki since he has worked on Sesame Street and with the Henson Company for a couple of years. Maybe someday Ziegfeld will get his own page on the Wiki & people will know what Sesame Street episodes he worked on and how long he was working alongside the Muppets for. Recently, he was working on a post-production show that is unnamed as of now but it will have a name for the future. Michael Paul Ziegfeld, not only are you excellent on-screen, you're also excellent off-screen as well. I hope that you will keep doing puppetry and voice acting until you decide to stop, but I hope that you will never stop. And maybe someday, when you're not busy, pay the cast of Sesame Street a visit and catch up on the fun times. Keep on performing Michael. Peace out Ziegfeld!
