Marty Stelnick
Marty Stelnick is a Canadian puppeteer, singer, composer, and writer who is known for being a regular performer of The Grogs. He has puppeteered in Ooh, Ahh & You (as Ooh), Nanalan, and Mr. Meaty (as various characters), just to name a few. Marty is also best known for performing Lickity Split on a show called Ants in Your Pants which featured music clips from various shows. Stelnick should have worked on Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock which featured a couple of performers he worked with like Frank Meschkuleit, Ali J. Eisner, and Kanja Chen. But I guess he was happier performing outside of Fraggle Rock and being more of a freelance guy. Additional Grogs performers he performed with include Jason Hopley, Jamie Shannon, Caitlin O'Reilly, and Todd Doldersum. I've read that Marty Stelnick has made an alter ego in which he calls Rooster Kane which is basically his head on top of a puppet body. He was also music composer for a show entitled Cutie Pugs and a writer for a show called Now You Know. It's a shame he hasn't done composing nor writing for his other projects, but then again, he was probably too busy with puppetry. Marty recently worked on two shows; Miikshi (as a puppet wrangler) and Lost Ollie (alongside Tim Gosley and Jeny Cassidy). I only hope that Stelnick will someday perform on a Canadian Henson Company project if he ever has free time again. Maybe someday he'll get word from one of his friends and he'll have a chance to train in a Henson puppetry workshop. You never know if someone from the company will call him. Marty Stelnick, from a goth girl to a spunky monkey, you've done a great job performing for both children and adults. You never know when there will be another season of Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock and you might be selected. Until that day will come, keep on puppeteering for kids television. Way to rock the house Marty. Catch you later Stelnick!
