Filipa Melo

Filipa Melo is a Portuguese puppeteer and journalist who did Tita on Rua Sesamo, the Portuguese co-production of Sesame Street. The wiki said she only did the voice of Tita while Paula Pais puppeteered her, it's something that needs proof of her work. Filipa is probably the only puppeteer so far to also be a journalist. Melo should be interviewed and questioned if she did the puppetry and voice of Tita or just the voice of the character. Her character also appeared in the Sesame Street special, Sesame Street Stays Up Late, in which her voice was dubbed by voice actress and singer Ivy Austin. Filipe Melo is probably doing journalism today in Portugal, writing down articles for the news. I hope that she will remember how much fun she working on Rua Sesamo. I still think there should be evidence of her only doing the voice of Tita on the wiki. How did the producers of the show prepare for Tita for her guest appearance in the Sesame Street New Year's Eve special? Filipa should have also wrote material for Rua Sesamo since she's also a journalist. Melo probably became a journalist after the series ended in 1994 (I do not think reruns count). She'll always be known as Tita on this blog. Filipa Melo, you've done a great job performing Tita on Rua Sesamo for 5 years. You're also doing a great job being a journalist for Portugal and such. I hope you keep on writing Portuguese news articles and maybe spreading them out into the world for international people to read. Not everyone has to be Portuguese in order to read the journals you have written. Filipe, you should keep on journaling until you decide to retire. Way to go Melo!
