Peter Elliott

Peter Elliott is an actor, suit performer, and former boxer and diver who specializes in playing gorillas and other primates. He was given the title role in the Creature Shop film Buddy and was performance coordinator on The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I wish that Elliot would work in more Creature Shop projects because they have a lot of films with realistic animals so maybe he could wear a gorilla or a primate suit again since he's good at it. Outside of Buddy, Peter served as primate coordinator on Greystake: The Legend of Tarzan, playing Silverbeard and overseeing the other performers. He's also played roles in Quest for Fire (neanderthals), Return to Oz (a Wheeler), and King Kong Lives (King Kong). Elliott was later performance supervisor in Gorillas in the Mist, Harry & the Hendersons, and Congo, and that's only a few of them. He must know a lot about gorillas and other primates in order to perform as them. What I don't understand is how is he a former boxer and diver? Peter must have done boxing and diving in the early days before switching to acting. Or maybe he was a boxer/diver during the times of film production and quit during the time. I've read that Elliott also teaches animal study at London's Central School of Speech and Drama which must where he got info on gorillas. He also acted in various films that didn't feature primates such as We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story, Tooth, The Mighty Boosh, and more. It would appear that Peter also occasionally performs different kinds of animals. I wish that the Muppets would have more gorilla suits in their projects. If the Muppets have gorilla suits than Peter could perform those primates and the Muppets could have realistic animals in their projects. I wonder if it's very difficult for Elliott to perform all of those primates for those films because the primates are really suits with head masks. He must have a hard time breathing wearing a mask and he must get very hot in those suits. But it must be worth it since Peter does a wonderful job at choreographing actors. Peter Elliott, you're a primate expert and you're bold enough to perform all of those primates from each film you performed in. I hope you keep coordinating primates for many films and I hope you decide to work in one project featuring the Muppets. Keep working in primate productions and coordinating actors who played primates. Spectacular primate coordinating Elliott!
