Robin Walsh

About Robin
Robin Walsh is a puppeteer, designer/builder, writer, and director who has worked with almost every kind of puppet for many years. She's a recipient of a Jim Henson Foundation Workshop Grant, & has performed her work in Henson's Puppets for Puppetry benefit. Robin's Henson projects included Bear in the Big Blue House, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, and Slumberkins. Walsh was mainly an assistant puppeteer and puppet builder for those projects. She has a much larger career outside and has travelled around the world and performs for audiences of all ages. Outside of Henson, she's best known for designing, building, and performing on various theatre, film, and television projects. For TV, Robin Walsh worked on Spongebob Squarepants, The Book of Pooh, Whoopi's Littleburg, Crank Yankers, Oobi, and more. Her film credits placed her in Men in Black, Team America: World Police, & Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, to name a few. Her best known work was within the theatre where she writes, directs, and performs in many shows both original and based on, like The Elements. Robin must be one of the many puppeteers to have done almost hundreds of shows that have involved puppets. I've read that Walsh is now Head of Puppets at a stop-motion studio called Screen Novelties (which also did puppet sequences too). Walsh is probably the only puppeteer to do stop-motion animation too. She has really made a real star out of herself and she still is today. She'll probably continue to do work at Screen Novelties and occasionally help out with Henson Company when needed. Robin Walsh, you are really talented when it comes to puppets and stop-motion. Keep up the fantastic work and you'll have your own page on Muppet Wiki soon. You never know when an administrator of the Wiki will add your page and credits as well. Until then, keep on being awesome Robin. Superb job Walsh!
