Arlene Lorre

Arlene Lorre | Muppet Wiki | Fandom
Arlene Lorre is an actress, puppeteer, and suit performer whose only work with the Henson Company was on Dinosaurs. She performed Charlene Sinclair's body in the first episode and then puppeteered additional characters in later episodes. How come Arlene never performed in any other projects either by the Henson Company or those featuring the Muppets? She must be more comfortable with acting on-camera than puppeteering so she could rest her arms whenever. Lorre could have been an assistant puppeteer for Muppets Tonight, The Muppets (2011), or other Muppet projects filmed in LA. But it's probably best for her to do what she feels more comfortable doing in her life. Outside of Dinosaurs, she has mostly been an on-screen actress acting in feature films such as Another Chance, Traxx, The Big Picture, and Blind Date (to name a few). Arlene Lorre has also guest starred on TV shows such as Full House and Night Court, being a Marilyn Monroe impersonator. I never knew there would be a puppeteer who can do an impression of an actress. But then again, a lot of puppeteers who performed with Henson and the Muppets have performed their characters in a famous actor or actress accent. I read that she also produced a video called Step on a Crack, which six people discuss how their lives are affected by Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Arlene must be the only puppeteer who produced a video about a disorder. I'm sure the puppeteers of Sesame Street have never done a outreach program about Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. It sounds more like something for adults. Lorre has recently acted in short films such as Bangs, The Gambler, and Turducken. But I still think that she should try to do puppetry again when she gets the chance to do so. She should ask the Henson Company if she could perform in one of their projects again. One project is not enough for a puppeteer. Arlene Lorre, you're incredible at acting, but you need to do more puppeteering in your life. As soon as this global pandemic is over, go to The Jim Henson Company and ask them if you can perform or assist them in another project. Once you do that, then maybe you'll become more than a puppeteer for the Creature Shop. Nothing is impossible when you put your mind to it and do your best. Keep on trying Arlene!
