Marc Petrosino
Marc Petrosino is a puppeteer, builder, and designer who has puppeteered for Sesame Street, as well as its Christmas special Elmo's Christmas Countdown. He also assisted the Muppets when they performed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (in the final episode that is). Marc's influence was both Sesame Street and the Muppets which makes him another puppeteer to be influenced by watching them. Outside of the Muppets and Sesame Street, Petrosino did a few freelance projects; Blue's Room, Crank Yankers, and A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. Other than that, he's best known for being co-founder of Monkey Boys Productions with Michael Latini, Scott Hitz, and Russell Tucker. Together, they designed, built, and performed puppets for various projects such as Little Shop of Horrors, Saturday Night Live, Planet Camp and more. I've read that Marc Petrosino also puppeteered in several shows by Basil Twist, such as The Long Christmas Ride Home, Master Peter's Puppet Show, Rite of Spring, and Petrushka. Other stage credits include three separate Young People's Concerts at Carnegie Hall, and in the opera Madama Butterfly. He should be proud to have done so much over the years and he should give credit to Sesame Street for making him the man he is today. Recently, Marc's company designed and built the puppets for Sesame Workshop's Helpsters, which features many of the Muppet performers. Petrosino and the others previously created a Velvet puppet for the Sesame Place show Elmo the Musical, so they must've kept in touch. Monkey Boys Productions is still running today with it's co-founder being promoted puppetry supervisor. Let's hope that he will keep the company going for years to come since it all began in 2006 when he and others founded it and brought it to life. Marc Petrosino, you did well on Sesame Street and Muppets too, if it weren't for them, you wouldn't have Monkey Boys Productions. Keep on working with the company making and performing puppets. I hope you still keep in touch with several Muppet performers as well. Excellent job Marc. You've really entertained us all Petrosino!
