Sarah Burgess

Sarah Burgess is a British puppeteer and voice actress who performed Phoebe Furchester-Fuzz on the British co-production of Sesame Street, The Furchester Hotel. She also operated Polynesia the parrot in a tour of the Jim Henson Company co-produced play, Dr. Dolittle (replacing Wim Booth). Sarah even went on a tour with Bear in the Big Blue House Live, back in 2003. It appears that Burgess is mostly doing live shows when it came to performing with the Jim Henson Company. Her latest work with the Henson Company was being an additional puppeteer for The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. Outside of The Furchester Hotel and Henson, she has performed on numerous kid shows such as Space Pirates, Wizadora, Teletubbies, Rosie and Jim, and most famously, LazyTown. On LazyTown, Sarah Burgess performed Trixie for two seasons before Aymee Garcia took over, as well as voicing Stingy in the UK version and puppeteering Ziggy for LazyTown Extra. She seems to be one of the healthiest puppeteers to perform on a show promoting exercise and teaching kids how to be more healthy. But how come she didn't assist the Muppets for Muppets Most Wanted? Sarah could have been credited as one of the UK Muppet performers. Burgess was probably more interested in doing shows for kids rather than families of all ages. Other performers she worked with include Jodi Eichelberger, Ronald Binion, Guðmundur Þór Kárason, and Julie Westwood. LazyTown is probably her best known show she puppeteered on, The Furchester Hotel might be the second one. Sarah Burgess, you are a very talented and healthy puppeteer to ever perform for children across the UK, Iceland, and the world. Though I think there should be one source of you doing Teletubbies and Rosie and Jim. Either way, you still do wonderful for children and even adults. Until you perform again, keep being healthy Sarah. You're in good shape Burgess!
