Sally Preisig
Sally Preisig is a puppeteer, puppet designer/builder, and costume creator who only performed with the Muppets on The Muppets Christmas Carol. And she wasn't even performing a character for that project, she was only assisting. Sally could have worked on more projects with the Muppets when they were in the UK. Preisig could have assisted them with Muppet Treasure Island and Muppets Most Wanted and other Henson projects, but she was too busy outside. Outside of the Muppets, she's the founder of the puppet company Mimic Productions, which opened in 1988. Her company is specialized in puppets, puppeteering, character costumes, mascots, and props for various video and theatre use. Within the company, Sally Preisig built the Star Puppet for PBS Sprout's The Goodnight Show. Her numerous TV puppet credits include Tweenies, The Shiny Show, Playdays (as Peggy Patch), and Fun Song Factory, to name a few. She seems to be one of the busiest puppet company owners since lots of performers of the Muppets have companies of their own. Sally should connect with the Muppets again, to see if they need her help. At least Preisig got to work with other puppeteers such as Ellie Darvill, Sue Monroe, Colleen Daley, and Nick Mercer. Maybe someday she'll reunite with fellow Playdays performers and share stuff about their lives since they went their separate ways. Mimic Productions has really made her the person we all know and love today. Sally Preisig, you were wonderful on Playdays, Fun Song Factory, and all those other projects where you made and performed puppets. I hope you meet up with Muppet people again when they're in the UK to do more projects. And I hope that you and your company keep making puppets for various kid shows. Keep spreading joy across the UK Sally. You're irreplaceable Preisig!
