Brian Herring
Brian Herring is a British puppeteer and writer who performed in many Henson/Muppet projects. His notable one was Mopatop's Shop where he played Father Mouse and various others. Brian also took over the role of Hubba Hubba on The Hoobs while Mark Jefferis took over the role of Groove. Herring also did two projects involving Muppets, Muppet Treasure Island and a guest appearance on The X Factor. Did he assist on Fozzie Bear, Miss Piggy, or Animal during that appearance? I've read that he believed that The Muppets Christmas Carol is the best re-creation of the story because of how much heart there is, as well as the fact that because Jim Henson and Richard Hunt died, Statler and Waldorf have appeared as ghosts. Outside of the Muppets and Henson, Brian Herring has done various other productions involving his puppeteering work, starting with Spitting Image. Shows such as The Animal Magic Show (which he was also a writer), Wizadora, and What's Your News?, to name a few. He has even served as the on-set puppeteer for BB-8 in three Star Wars films, the first one was alongside Dave Chapman. I wonder if Brian had any difficulty puppeteering the droid in all of the wild and dangerous stunt scenes and moving around in the Millennium Falcon. Herring must probably be the most lucky puppeteer to work on Star Wars, like Frank Oz. Other puppeteers he worked with include Susan Beattie, Nigel Plaskitt, Victoria Willing, and Alison McGowan, to name a few. I would say that he's another guy who is both great at working on projects for children and adults as well as seen in the Star Wars films doing BB-8, not to mention other films. Brian Herring, you did wonderful with Henson Company on Mopatop's Shop, The Hoobs, and Construction Site. You were also terrific in the Star Wars films as BB-8. Keep on puppeteering for films and series. Keep on puppeteering for television and film so you'll be remembered by what you've done. Excellent Brian. You're out of this world Herring!
