Sheila Clark

Sheila Clark is a British puppeteer who performed with the Muppets when their productions have been filmed in the UK. For Sesame Street, she worked on the British co-production The Furchester Hotel as an assistant and performer of guest and background characters. Sheila also assisted on Muppets Most Wanted and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. Earlier in Clark's work, she puppeteered on What's Up Doc (featuring puppets made by the Creature Shop). I think she should have assisted the Muppets in other films that were filmed in London, like Muppet Treasure Island. She could've done more Henson Company projects in the UK, but she was probably too busy. Outside, Sheila Clark performed on many shows like St. Bears Doll Hospital, The Sooty Show, and The Basil Brush Show, to name a few. Other puppeteers she worked with include Neil Sterenberg, Warrick Brownlow-Pike, Michael Winsor, and more. She seemed to have performed over a hundred characters and seems to be good at impressions when performing male characters. I still say Sheila should have assisted the Muppets more often when something was made near the area where she lives. From simple glove puppet to complex mechanical puppet, Clark performed puppets of all different sizes, even assisting full-bodied puppets. Her recent outside projects include Spitting Image (reboot) and Jurassic World Domination. Let's hope she'll work on another Muppet project in the future. Sheila Clark, you are one of those people who can perform over a hundred puppets. Others included Stephanie D'Abruzzo, Jerry Nelson, and Nigel Plaskitt, just to name a few. Soon you'll get a chance to assist the Muppets again, if not you'll still be great performing on all of those outside productions. Until then, keep on puppeteering because you have an impersonator within yourself Sheila. Have some faith and don't stop what you're doing Clark!
