Ryan Dillon
Ryan Dillon is a puppeteer and puppet builder who is best known for being the current Elmo on Sesame Street after Kevin Clash resigned. He started out puppeteering on the series when he was only 17 years old, mainly assisting and playing many minor characters before 2013. Ryan also got some recurring characters for Kinect Sesame Street TV video games, Paul Ball and Cooper Monster. Dillon has even assisted the Muppets on their 2014 Late Night appearance, at the Hollywood Bowl in 2017, and at the O2 Arena in 2018. His only Henson Company show so far was Julie's Greenroom but I'm sure he'll do more soon. Outside of the Muppets and Sesame Street, he has mainly co-produced puppet web videos with Mark Gale under the name The DillonGale Idiots. Ryan Dillon also built and performed puppets for Ask Sylvia, Waverly Films, and John Tartaglia's ImaginOcean. I'll bet he feels like a star now that he is performing Elmo for television and live shows. For Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary, he took on classic Muppet characters Don Music, Lefty the Salesman, and Roosevelt Franklin (puppetry). Ryan's recent outside work on Helpsters and Donkey Hodie (Season 2). The producers were right to select Dillon to replace Clash as Elmo for Sesame Street. He's also one of the directors for a Sesame Street short-form series known as My Sesame Street Friends. Starting with The-Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo (Season 2), he was given another recurring character, a chicken named Felix who appeared on Sesame-related media afterwards, then appearing on the show proper in the 54th season. Ryan Dillon, you started out as an assistant, now you're a star on Sesame Street. Keep performing Elmo, Felix, and other characters on the show. Also if the Muppets ever perform live on stage again, I'm sure they'll let you to assist them. Until then, keep up the great work Ryan. You have made millions of people and children very happy by keeping Elmo alive Dillon!
