Sarah Lafferty

Sarah Lafferty is a puppeteer, puppet builder and costumer who built puppets for numerous Muppet and Henson Company projects. She worked on Sesame Street (credited on and off) and its specials, Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock (2nd season), The Happytime Murders, and The Muppets Mayhem. Other than building puppets, Sarah has also acted, sung, danced, and puppeteered in many theatrical productions. It is such a shame Lafferty never did those skills on any Muppet nor Henson show. Some of her theatrical shows include puppeteering "Fearzilla" for a rally hosted by Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart, as well as the short film The Never Bell, alongside Ben Durocher and Spencer Lott. She has also served as the co-captain of an award-winning dance troupe known as The Sexcamaids seen at parades. Sarah Lafferty is very creative for television but more active in the theatre based on the theatrical productions she did like Senseless! A Brick Foley Adventure. Working with Muppets and Henson Company, she got to meet lots of legendary puppet builders, besides Durocher, such as John Cody, Lara MacLean, Mary Brehmer, and James Wojtal. Hopefully she'll continue to be in the workshop for future Henson projects, whenever the projects will be announced that is. Sarah should be proud to have been in the entertainment realm since she was a teenager. Lafferty is probably most well known for her time on Sesame Street, not to mention doing The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo and specials. She has also recently been a designer/builder for Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock Live, which featured walkaround costumes and hand puppets. There is just no telling what sort of production she'll do next. Sarah Lafferty, you are incredible at building and costuming puppets for both the Muppets and Henson Company. Keep doing so, because entertainment really brings out the creativity within you. Be prepared for your next production whether it's with the Henson Company or theatres. Such sublime puppets you've done Sarah. You're a genius Lafferty!
