Nina Conti
Nina Conti is a British ventriloquist, comedian, and actress who is best known for being her characters for many appearances. Her main characters included Face Mask, Granny, and Monkey, while other ones are more minor (not to mention originally made by Steve Axtell). Nina performed comedy for numerous appearances since 2002 and is also a regular at London comedy venues, like The Comedy Store. Conti had a relationship with comedian and actor Ken Campbell who mentored her, and she later inherited his ventriloquist dummies after his death, according to an article. She may not be considered as a puppeteer, but she has met Muppet performer Grant Baciocco on his podcast Under the Puppet, which I must say should count. As an actress, she's been working since 1996 on several theatre and television productions across the UK and the world as well. Some of the shows Nina Conti did include The Warp, Clare in the Community, For Your Consideration, and Bromwell High, just to name a few. She also appeared within various documentaries as herself as well as writing and directing a bunch of them too. Her 3 characters Monkey, Face Mask, and Granny have been a knockout at her performances and appearances as well, each with a different personality. I hope Nina continues to be an actress, comedian, and ventriloquist for the near future because she is basically hilarious on stage and screen. And Conti is also another one of those ventriloquists to meet a Muppet performer, others include Edgar Bergen, Darci Lynne Farmer, and Michael Paul Ziegfeld. Hopefully she'll become a legend to the world at some point in the future. There is nothing she wouldn't do just to get a laugh. Nina Conti, you're a hilarious actress and ventriloquist as far as the eye can see in the world of entertainment. Ken Campbell made the right decision to be your mentor, otherwise you wouldn't be the superstar you are today. If you ever meet a Muppet performer as nice as Baciocco, then you'll be lucky. Keep on performing Nina. That's some good humor Conti!
