Mark Alexander Todd

Mark Alexander Todd is a British puppeteer, actor, writer, and director who has performed background characters on The Muppets Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island. He hasn't done any Muppet or Creature Shop projects following production of MTI, but still he got to work with legendary performers for both films. Mark also puppeteered on TV for many commercials and shows such as Spitting Image, Ozmo, Noel's House Party, and Space Vets, to name a few. Todd also gave motion capture technology a shot in 1997 and has used that style on numerous BBC projects for a couple of years. Following doing puppetry, he phased out of puppets to focus on creating film and video media, becoming a professional at it since 2001. On his website, he states that he's a 'jack of all trades' as he produced, directed, written, and edited productions for years. Some of the projects Mark Alexander Todd wrote and directed include Bad Reception, In the Name of Charity, and four Hasbro feature films such as Vamps in the City. He has worked with many clients across the UK and even traveled the world to work with international clients from Switzerland to China to Australia. His website shows what a capable man he is and how incredible he is at being a puppeteer as well as a 'jack of all trades' as he calls it. Hopefully Mark continues being that kind of person for the future since his writing and directing made wonderful films. And maybe soon Todd will run into a Muppet performer again in his free time, you never know. I'll bet being a puppeteer has encouraged him to branch out more in the creative area which made him the writer and director he is today. Perhaps he'll become a role model for those that appreciate his work and that will really make him feel important, a good feeling. Mark Alexander Todd, from puppeteer to producer, you're definitely one of those people who earns their own respect. Keep on making films and always remember the fun you've had with the Muppets on those two films, both based on books. Even though you don't puppeteer anymore, you still did great as one. Amazing films Mark. You sure are a pro at filmmaking Todd!
