Forrest Harding

Forrest Harding is a puppeteer, voice actor, producer, director, and writer who is perhaps best known for working on the PBS Kids Sprout block for years. He was the original puppeteer for Chica on The Sunny Side Up Show and later reprised her on The Chica Show. Forrest has also served as a producer for that show where he worked with everyone including the many Chica puppeteers. Harding also puppeteered various characters on The Sprout Sharing Show, working alongside Kelly Vrooman, Kevin Yamada, and Brendon Gawel. On Sunny Side Up, he got to appear with various guest stars from children shows, such as Barney, The Wiggles, and Sesame Street characters. In an interview, he said that meeting the Sesame Street performers was a dream come true because he worked with Kevin Clash, Leslie Carrara-Rudolph, and Caroll Spinney, the latter of which he assisted on Oscar the Grouch for a photo. Forrest Harding has also visited the set of Sesame Street itself along with the other people from Sunny Side Up Show. Apart from puppetry, he also lent his voice to Ruff-Ruff, Tweet and Dave (as Hatty) and Noodle and Doodle, as well as other Sprout-related shows. He's still working today and still remembers his time on Sprout as seen in his latest interviews on a couple of podcasts. Forrest should be lucky to have worked with many Sesame Street performers over the years on Sunny Side Up and The Chica Show. Harding is definitely a role model for children around the world having been well known as Chica. He along with other Chica puppeteers have used special whistles to create Chica's squeaks, for it would be confusing for people to know who voices Chica each show. No matter what happens in the future, he'll always be known for his work on Sprout as a puppeteer, voice actor, and producer. Forrest Harding, you've done wonderful on Sprout as many characters for different programs, most notably the original Chica. Continue to be very talented on television since you've started out on many commercials. People will always remember you for being on Sprout for years. Until then, peace out Forrest.
