John Alexander
John Alexander is an actor, puppeteer, and gorilla performer who has done three Creature Shop-effects films. He puppeteered on The Flintstones (film), provided choreography for the gorillas in George of the Jungle, and did the body of Big Al in The Country Bears. John also appears to be another one of those puppeteers to also wear gorilla suits for many projects, others include Peter Elliott, Misty Rosas, and Denise Cheshire. Some of Alexander's simian credits include Planet of the Apes, Fierce Creatures, Baby's Day Out, and many more. As for puppetry, he puppeteered in High Spirits, Return to Oz, and Little Shop of Horrors, all of which were films. His profile on IMDb states that in addition to puppetry and gorilla performing, he also does acrobatics, horse riding, and unicycling, all impressive. Let's not forget some of the films John Alexander acted on, such as two Men in Black films, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and The Haunted Mansion. He seems to be more well known for his simian credits than his acting credits for the former had placed him in bigger roles than the latter. Some of the Muppet performers he met include Anthony Asbury, Terri Hardin, Joe Selph, and Kay Bradshaw, just to name a few. I wonder if John is still performing for films today since his latest role was in a 2015 short. Let's hope that Alexander remembers how much he's achieved over the years with his skills, not to mention the roles that he was well known for. He must be the king of gorilla performers since he's played so many gorillas for so many films as well as a TV episode. Though I'll bet he gets really hot inside the gorilla suit, not to mention uncomfortable for when he has to do certain scenes. John Alexander, despite how hard it is, you're an excellent gorilla performer. You're also pretty good at doing puppetry for films, especially in Return to Oz. Keep on working in show business because that field is what you're well known for. Just make sure you take enough time to relax John. "Swing" into action Alexander!
