Renee Menschaar
Renee Menschaar is a Dutch puppeteer who performed Pino on Sesamstraat, the Dutch co-production of Sesame Street since 1991. She performed him longer than any other puppeteer, is the first woman to play the role, and even invented Pino's youth personality. Renee also did Tommie's right hand when she started and puppeteered Bert on a Dutch TV program called De Wereld Draait Door. Menschaar serves as a puppeteer on other Dutch educational shows whenever she's not performing Pino. Despite being proud of her work, she prefers to remain unknown to the public. I don't know why she would want to remain a secret to the public and not have photographs online, since there already is a photo of her on the Muppet Wiki. Personally, I think Renee Menschaar is extremely shy to the public since she doesn't want to be known nor have photographs online. I'm sure she wouldn't mind having me make a blog post about her. Other puppeteers she worked with include Catherine van Woerden, Bert Plagman, Daphne Zandberg, and Judith Broersen, just to name a few. Technically, Renee isn't unknown to the public since she was interviewed on Dutch Radio in 2002, 2003, and 2019. Hopefully, Menschaar will get out of her comfort zone and maybe get used to being known to the public, there's no point of being proud of your own work if you want to remain unknown. And the picture above is from the Muppet Wiki, so it will probably be okay for people to read this, but whoever is reading this, don't try to get info about her. It's gonna take a little more time for her to be ready for the public to know her. Renee Menschaar, despite wanting to be unknown, there comes a time where you'll have to stop being unknown. You don't have to do it yet, whenever you feel comfortable, that's when you do it. Despite all of that, you've done swell as Pino on Sesamstraat and that's something to be proud of. Tremendous job Renee. Be chill Menschaar!
