Geneviève Paré

Geneviève Paré is a Canadian puppeteer, actress, mover, and shaker who serves as one of the additional puppeteers on Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. She has done a great job assisting in the first season, so I'm sure she'll do another great job in the upcoming second season. Other puppeteers Geneviève worked with include Jennifer Bain, Anna Cummer, and Russ Walko, just to name a few. Outside, Paré mainly did both theatre making and performing all across Calgary, Alberta, Canada (the location where Fraggle Rock was taped). Her recent theatre works include Theatre Calgary's version of A Christmas Carol, as well as Quest Theatre and We Are All Treaty People. I've read that whenever she is either on stage or around a fire, she uses her body as a form of storytelling to connect people with each other and their own spirit (whatever that means). In addition to performing, Geneviève Paré also co-founded Mudfoot Theatre and serves as Associate Director of The Canadian Wilderness Artist Residency. Despite all of that work, it's unknown what other projects she puppeteered on, outside of Fraggle Rock that is. Maybe someday she'll get interviewed and by then she might reveal some other projects in which she serves as a puppeteer. And maybe someday, Geneviève will run into one of the main performers and catch with him/her about what they've been doing. I just hope Paré will get her own page on the Muppet Wiki in the future as well as all the other assistant puppeteers (except Walko and Bain). If she's still assisting for season 2 of the show, than maybe she'll be acknowledged then. Geneviève Paré, you really know how to act and adapt to wilderness settings, I mean figuratively not literally. Keep on performing and make sure you get interviewed in a puppet podcast someday. It might not happen just yet but soon that day will come and everyone will know what shows you've done. Great job Geneviève. Get wild Paré!
