Fransi Andersson

Fransi Andersson is a Canadian puppeteer and puppet builder who assisted on an episode of Fraggle Rock and the feature film Follow That Bird. I don't know why she didn't assist in more Fraggle Rock episodes, because then she would become a Muppet performer like the other puppeteers. Otherwise, Fransi is perhaps best known for creating and performing Giorgio on Fred Penner's Place for 12 years before Jan Skene took her place. If Andersson were to do other Canadian Muppet projects such as The Jim Henson Hour or The Christmas Toy, then she would have met more puppeteers. I wonder if she's still remembering how much she enjoyed performing with Fred Penner after she left the series. I saw a YouTube video showing her running a puppet workshop at Orillia Public Library, but nobody knows when it took place. Other puppeteers Fransi Andersson worked with include Tom Vandenberg, Myra Fried, Ron Wagner, and the Fraggle five performers. Did she enjoy doing Fred Penner's Place a whole lot more than doing Fraggle Rock and Sesame Street's Follow That Bird? This picture shows that she created a bunch more puppet characters, one is Giorgio but the remaining four are unnamed and don't show what production each one was in. Fransi should show herself to the public soon, maybe consider herself getting interviewed for a puppet podcast like Puppet Tears or Under the Puppet. Andersson will always be known for working with Fred Penner since she did a wonderful job performing that tree frog for 12 years. I just hope she'll run into an old Fraggle Rock performer again someday and maybe catch up on how things have been. Fransi Andersson, despite only doing two projects involving Muppets, you are still considered a Muppet puppeteer by me. Pretty soon you'll have your own page on the Muppet Wiki with more information about you. You just got to keep working hard on whatever it is you're doing now. Until then, keep living a happy and healthy life Fransi. You are extremely talented Andersson!
