Debra Wilson
Debra Wilson is an actress, voice actress, comedian, and writer who only did puppetry for one series, The Mr. Potato Head Show (as Queenie Sweet Potato and Miss Licorice Lips). She is best known for being a cast member on Mad TV from 1995-2003, eight seasons exactly. As voice actress, Debra has voiced over thousands of characters for television shows like All Hail King Julien, Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart, and Spitting Image (reboot). As for Disney, Wilson did Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, The Owl House, and Mickey Mouse Funhouse (taking over the role of Daisy Duck after Season 1). It amazes me how one actress like her can do so many shows. Her live-action work includes Reno 911, 2 Broke Girls, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and more. I wonder if Debra Wilson had a hard time doing puppetry for Mr. Potato Head, since she had to keep her arm in the air for hours. At least she performed with other puppeteers such as Brian Jacobs (an actor too), Mark Bryan Wilson, Julianne Buescher, and Greg Ballora. She's another person to only do puppetry for one show, others include the performers of the puppet characters on Barney & Friends from 1997-2000. Debra even had lead roles in video games since 2016 including one upcoming one, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Wilson is still voice acting today doing voice work for Mickey Mouse Funhouse (mentioned above) and Monster High. But no matter what show is coming up, Mad TV will always be her best known project in the history of television. Even though she only did puppetry once, I think she did a great job doing so. Debra Wilson, you would make a splendid guest for the Muppets one day based on the shows you've done over the years. Who knows, you might even voice act on a Henson show, whenever that is. Until then keep voice acting for Disney and other future projects. You are a real queen Debra. Fantastic job Wilson!
