Rene Zendejas

Rene Zendejas was a puppeteer and puppet creator who was known for his puppets, marionettes, and ventriloquial figures. He both performed and created marionettes for an episode of Tales from the Crypt (with Thomas Fountain) and Ben with his company Rene and His Artists Productions. Rene had also worked alongside Joe Selph, his performing partner, for 22 years until 2014. Zendejas passed away in 2014 and yet Selph was able to keep his legacy running. It's a shame he's gone now, because he would have been great with more performers that worked with the Muppets. The Muppets and Sesame Street hardly perform with marionettes anymore. Rene Zendejas is probably one of the greatest puppeteers to work with marionettes, puppets, and ventriloquist figures (maybe even the only one). Additional shows he worked on include Mrs. Columbo, The Adventures of Ford Fairlane, and Wings; all of which display the other talents he's done. He should be lucky to have a great friend like Joe Selph to keep his puppet company running for years to come, at least until Selph dies himself. People should know Rene does a great job performing marionettes for millions of them. Let's just hope Zendejas is watching everything from heaven and feels very touched by how much hard work Selph does to keep his legacy going. You never know when dead people might be watching actions from up in heaven. Rene Zendejas, although you're dead, you've still done a great job doing puppetry of all different kinds of puppets. You'll never be forgotten by your friends and on this blog by me. And be happy that you have a very good friend to help keep your legacy going. I bid you a huge farewell Rene. Enjoy life up in heaven Zendejas!
